A bank employee has been issued a special arrest warrant.
By providing false information about "loan maturity," a bank employee in Lam Dong province embezzled over 22 billion VND and then fled. The suspect is currently the subject of a special wanted notice issued by the police.
On September 11th, the Investigation Police Department of Lam Dong province announced that it had issued a special wanted notice for suspect Le Ngoc Trung (29 years old, residing in Mui Ne ward, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province) for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".
According to the investigation, Le Ngoc Trung, a bank employee, provided false information about customers needing loans to repay debts. Trusting him, five people repeatedly transferred a total of over 22 billion VND into accounts registered under Trung's name or through intermediaries.
Trung used this money to pay off his debts. When he became unable to repay them, he fled the area.
On July 31, 2025, the Investigation Police Department of Lam Dong province initiated criminal proceedings against Trung for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".
The police are urging citizens to apprehend Trung if they spot him and bring him to the nearest police station, prosecutor's office, or People's Committee. Furthermore, any related information should be immediately reported to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Lam Dong Provincial Police.
