According to RT, the photo was taken last week by Andrea Adams of Hood County, Texas, when 23-year-old Jimmie Cox was trying to patch a water pipe in front of her house. In the photo, Cox is lying on the ground, head down in a waist-deep puddle of muddy water, with only his lower body visible.

Adams then posted the photo on Facebook, and within two hours, she was receiving a flood of comments from people.

"I had turned off Facebook and closed my email. I received a call from an Atlantan lawyer expressing a desire to use the photo," Adams recounted.

Cox said he couldn't believe the photo had attracted so much attention. He had only agreed to fix the pipes to earn a little extra money outside of his regular hours. However, when he arrived at Mrs. Adams' house, he saw water everywhere and the homeowner didn't know how to handle the problem.

He tried going down 1.5 meters to tighten the pipe but it was ineffective.

"We had to cut it and put a valve on it while it was submerged in water," he recounted.

He also said that the pipe repair workers regularly immerse themselves in water while working like this.

Cox's photo has been retweeted numerous times on Twitter with the hashtag #employeeofthemonth. He has also received many messages and comments from people on Facebook.

"Generally, they asked me what I was doing," Cox recounted.

Adams said she was delighted by Cox's dedication to his work. "I'm really proud of him," she said.
