Short of money, a male motel employee addicted to gambling stole property from guests staying in his rooms.

On January 4th, Mr. Hiraga Tsugio (a Japanese national) was returned stolen property worth 48 million VND by the Dong Hung District Police (Thai Binh province).
Previously, on December 30, 2017, Mr. Hiraga Tsugio reported to the Dong Hung District Police about the theft of money and property while staying at the Sinh Thai guesthouse in Dong Tan commune.
During the investigation, authorities suspected Tran Dinh Hai (28 years old), an employee of the guesthouse, of stealing property from guests.Hai confessed that he sneaked into Mr. Hiraga's room to get money to pay off his gambling debts.
