Many areas in Nghe An province have closed roads due to flooding.
After more than a day and night of continuous rain, many roads in communes within Anh Son and Con Cuong districts have begun to flood. Local authorities are actively advising people to ensure safety and closing some routes due to rapidly rising water levels.
In Anh Son district, some roads in Cam Son commune have started to be flooded due to rising water levels, especially the section passing through the tunnel brick factory leading to Con Cuong district.

In Phuc Son commune, the commune's People's Committee leaders stated that the road currently has a flooded bridge connecting Veu 1 village to Veu 2, Veu 3, and Veu 4 villages. The commune is temporarily prohibiting traffic on this road due to flooding, posing a potential safety risk. Several other roads, especially those in Cao Veu village, are also at risk of flooding if the rain continues.

Meanwhile, in Tuong Son commune, the People's Committee is currently advising residents to take precautions to ensure safety when traveling on National Highway 7A because many sections of the road are flooded due to prolonged rain and slow drainage.

Specifically, several areas have been flooded and are at risk of flooding if the rain continues: the entrance gate to hamlets 8 and 9, and the section in Quyet Thang hamlet. The Tuong Son commune authorities advise residents to proactively monitor the situation to take timely response measures.

In the Cam Son area, Con Cuong district is currently experiencing numerous landslides and localized flooding. For example, in Con Cuong town, near the town market, at 2 PM on September 20th, rainwater flooded the road surface. This was due to prolonged heavy rain and slow drainage, resulting in localized flooding.

In Luc Da commune, according to the commune's People's Committee leaders, all the bridges and culverts in the commune are currently submerged. The commune is directing villages to put up warning signs and prohibit crossing some deeply flooded areas. Currently, Luc Da commune is still experiencing heavy rain, and river and stream levels continue to rise rapidly, flooding many rice fields and roads in the area.

In Lang Khe commune (Con Cuong district), National Highway 7, specifically the Cho slope section, has experienced another landslide. In the early afternoon of September 20th, authorities cleared the debris from the road to restore traffic flow.

In Tam Quang commune (Tuong Duong district), local authorities also reported that due to prolonged heavy rain, the dirt road from Tam Lien village in Tam Quang commune to Dong Tien village in Lang Khe commune, Con Cuong district, has suffered serious subsidence, making it impassable for vehicles.

Currently, Tam Quang commune has erected temporary barriers to prohibit traffic on this road to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.
