Many localities in Nghe An have closed roads due to flooding.
After more than a day and night of continuous rain, many roads in communes in Anh Son and Con Cuong districts began to flood. Local authorities are actively advising people to ensure safety and banning some roads due to the rapid rise in water.
In Anh Son district, some roads in Cam Son commune have started to rise, flooding the road surface, especially the section through the tunnel brick factory to Con Cuong district.

In Phuc Son commune, the leader of the commune People's Committee said that there is currently a road with a spillway from Veu 1 village to Veu 2, Veu 3 and Veu 4 villages. The commune is currently temporarily banning traffic on this road due to flooding, posing a potential safety risk. Some other roads, especially Cao Veu village, are also at risk of flooding if it continues to rain.

In Tuong Son commune, the People's Committee is currently advising people to pay attention to safety when traveling on National Highway 7A because many sections of the road are partially flooded due to prolonged rain and slow drainage.

Specifically, some locations have been flooded and are at risk of flooding if the rain continues: The welcome gate of Village 8 and Village 9, and the Quyet Thang Village section. Tuong Son Commune authorities recommend that people proactively monitor the situation to take timely response measures.

Through Cam Son area, Con Cuong district is currently experiencing many landslides and localized flooding. For example, in Con Cuong town, near the town market at 2:00 p.m. on September 20, rainwater flooded the road surface. The cause was prolonged heavy rain and slow drainage, causing localized flooding.

In Luc Da commune, according to the leader of the commune People's Committee, all the spillways in the commune are currently flooded. The commune is directing the villages to set up warning signs, prohibiting the passage of some deeply flooded spillways. Currently, Luc Da commune is still experiencing heavy rain and the water level of rivers and streams continues to rise rapidly, flooding many fields and roads in the area.

In Lang Khe commune (Con Cuong), National Highway 7 at Cho slope has continued to collapse. Early in the afternoon of September 20, authorities cleared the rock and soil from the road to allow traffic to pass.

In Tam Quang commune (Tuong Duong), local authorities also said that due to many days of rain, the dirt road from Tam Lien village of Tam Quang commune to Dong Tien village of Lang Khe commune, Con Cuong district has seriously subsided, making it impossible for vehicles to move.

Currently, Tam Quang commune has set up a temporary barrier to prohibit traffic on this route to ensure safety for people and vehicles.
