Many exciting activities at the 2024 Lotus Village Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - The art program "From Lang Sen Village to Ho Chi Minh City," the street performance "Homeland in the Lotus Blooming Season," and the marathon "Journey to Lang Sen Village"... are some of the attractive activities expected to take place at this year's Lang Sen Village Festival.
The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued a plan to organize the Lang Sen Festival in 2024 to commemorate the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024).
Accordingly, the 2024 Lotus Village Festival will be organized on a provincial scale to express the gratitude and respect of the people towards President Ho Chi Minh - the national liberation hero and outstanding cultural figure.
At the same time, through activities to propagate and educate on Ho Chi Minh's ideology; continuing to implement the campaign "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style"; contributing to promoting the image of Nghe An's land and people to people at home and internationally.
The main activities will be held from May 11th to 19th, including the ceremonial part: a flower-laying ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Monument in Ho Chi Minh Square and a parade to President Ho Chi Minh's birthplace at 5:00 PM on May 11th; a flower and incense-laying ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House and Chung Son Temple at 5:45 PM on May 11th, 2024; a procession of President Ho Chi Minh's portrait from the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House in the Kim Lien historical site to the Lang Sen Stadium at 7:00 PM on May 11th, 2024; and the opening ceremony of the Lang Sen Festival at 8:00 PM on May 11th, 2024 at the Lang Sen Stadium, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district.
The festival will feature many unique cultural, artistic, and sporting activities, including those organized by the Department of Culture and Sports: the 2024 Nghe An Province Lotus Village Singing Festival from May 16th to 18th in Vinh City and Nam Dan District; the "Homeland in the Lotus Blossom Season" street performance on the evening of May 18th at the Vinh City pedestrian street; the "Nghe An - Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" art and photography exhibition from May 13th to 20th at the Provincial Cultural Center Exhibition House; the 2024 Nghe An Province Volleyball and Traditional Martial Arts Tournament from May 14th to 17th in Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District; and the "From Lotus Village to Ho Chi Minh City" art program on the evening of May 19th at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh City.
In addition, there will be cultural and artistic activities and a camp in Nam Dan district from May 11th to May 19th, 2024, organized by the People's Committee of Nam Dan district, and the Nghe An Marathon 2024 "Journey to Lang Sen Village" on June 9th, organized by a business in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports and the People's Committees of Vinh City, Cua Lo town and Nam Dan district.
