Many exciting activities are being held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Vinh City's founding and the 235th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do - Vinh.
(Baonghean.vn) - Many cultural, artistic, physical education, and sports activities, as well as celebratory events, have been planned to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Vinh City and the 235th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do - Vinh.
On the morning of August 2nd, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Provincial Journalists Association jointly organized the August 2023 press briefing.

At the conference, Ms. Tran Thi Cam Tu, Vice Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee, provided information on activities leading up to the 60th anniversary of the founding of Vinh City and the 235th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do - Vinh.

Accordingly, a series of celebratory events will take place throughout September, including: a flashmob night; an exhibition of the symbolic gate commemorating 60 years of "Vinh City Youth – Steadfastly Leading the Way"; the Miss Vinh contest; a folk art festival celebrating the 60th anniversary of the city's founding, the 235th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do - Vinh; and the Phuong Hoang Trung Do Martial Arts Tournament. In particular, the ceremony commemorating the 60th anniversary of Vinh City's founding, the 235th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do - Vinh, and the awarding of the Second Class Independence Medal is scheduled to take place on September 30th.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quang – Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Rural Magazine and Chairman of the Nghe An Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City – also provided information about the 2023 "Returning to the Land of Folk Songs" Marathon. This race is organized by Vietnam Rural Magazine in coordination with the Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports and other relevant departments and agencies, and is scheduled to take place from August 19-20.

The 2023 "Returning to the Land of Folk Songs" Marathon is the first professional running event organized in Nghe An province. It aims to promote the training and competition of sports in general, and marathon running in particular, while also showcasing the beautiful scenery, cuisine, and traditional culture of Nghe An to tourists and participating athletes. Approximately 4,000 athletes from across the country are expected to participate, including 22 international athletes from Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Austria, China, India, Afghanistan, and Taiwan.
In the July 2023 press report, Mr. Nguyen Ba Hao, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, stated: During the past month, press agencies have strictly adhered to the directives and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the state management of the Department of Information and Communications.

Many prominent issues and events have been reported and publicized by the press, such as: the official friendship visit to Vientiane and Bolikhamsai provinces in Laos by the Nghe An provincial delegation, led by Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy; the July 2023 regular meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee; the 14th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026…
In addition, the press has published news articles reflecting many issues of public concern such as: environmental pollution in industrial clusters and zones, and quarries; the inefficiency and wastefulness of many clean water projects in some localities; information on the results of the 2023 High School Graduation Examination, etc.
In its August propaganda orientation, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department proposed focusing on the implementation of the contents of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023, of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2045. Particular attention should be paid to specific development targets and the nine key tasks and solutions to ensure Nghe An's rapid, sustainable, and comprehensive development.

In addition, press agencies also need to promote the program of meetings and dialogues between the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the heads of Party committees and governments at the commune level; and major events and holidays in the month: the 59th anniversary of the Gulf of Tonkin incident and the victory of the Vietnam People's Navy (August 5, 1964 – August 5, 2023); Vinh's first victory day (August 5); the 19th anniversary of the Day for Victims of Agent Orange in Vietnam (August 10, 2004 – August 10, 2023); the 112th anniversary of the birth of General Vo Nguyen Giap (August 25, 1911 – August 25, 2023); the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2023) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2023). Commemorating the 78th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security and the National Day for Protecting National Security (August 19); the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of Nghe An province (August 21, 1945 – August 21, 2023); the 235th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do - Vinh; the 60th anniversary of the founding of Vinh city and the 15th anniversary of Vinh city being a type I urban area directly under Nghe An province; and the Nghe An Marathon 2023.
