Many activities to support families of martyrs
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 16, the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An organized a meeting to summarize the 2015 term and deploy the 2016 plan.
In 2015, many gratitude activities were carried out by the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of the province, such as: DNA testing to return the names of 2 unidentified martyrs; consulting on the search for 120 martyrs' remains; informing more than 4,000 families of martyrs whose addresses were sacrificed on battlefields; building 56 gratitude houses with a total amount of 2.8 billion VND; giving 79 savings books with a total amount of 405 million VND, 190 gifts worth 136 million VND to families; mobilizing 1.1 billion VND to build a martyrs' cemetery in Chau Hong commune (Quy Hop)...

The Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in Nghe An also successfully organized an exchange program to honor heroic martyrs and heroic Vietnamese Mothers with the theme "Lighting the fire of gratitude - Warming comradeship".
In 2016, the main goals of the Association are: Upgrading the martyrs' cemetery in Yen Thanh district, Thanh Chi and Thanh Yen commune cemeteries, Thanh Chuong district; Establishing 5-7 branches to support martyrs' families in the districts; supporting the construction of 35 gratitude houses, giving 100 savings books, 150 gifts and wheelchairs to families of martyrs...

On this occasion, the Central Association for Supporting Families of Vietnamese Martyrs and the People's Committee of Nghe An province awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in 2015.
