Many practical activities to support the poor during 'Humanitarian Month'
(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to "Humanitarian Month", on May 15, localities and units have many practical and meaningful activities to support the poor and those in difficult and unfortunate circumstances.
* Hanh Dich Border Guard Station(Nghe An Border Guard) coordinated with the Party Committee and authorities of Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district to present 35 breeding pigs to poor households to develop livestock farming.

Each pig weighing 10-15 kg was given to 7 households (5 pigs each) in difficult circumstances in Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district. The above piglets were raised and cared for by officers and soldiers of the unit in accordance with the climate and farming conditions of the local people.

Hoang Thi Thanh Nhan is a member of the Nghia Dan District Medical Center's trade union and is in difficult circumstances and has not been able to build a house. Mr. Luong Dinh Than’s family is poor and often suffers from illness. The family has to live in a dilapidated temporary house. The Fatherland Front Committee of Nghia Hoi commune has supported 10 million VND from the “Fund for the Poor”; at the same time, the Party Committee and the commune government have supported the family with working days to help build the house.

* Delegation of Con Cuong District Party Committee and Cam Lam communevisited and encouraged the family of Mrs. Kha Thi Tam (born in 1961), a poor household in Bach Son village, whose house burned down at noon on May 12. The delegation presented 2 million VND to help the family overcome the initial consequences. At the same time, they directed the local government to quickly mobilize organizations, unions, armed forces and people in the area to help and support the reconstruction of the house to help Mrs. Tam's family stabilize their lives soon.
Earlier, at around 12:10 pm on May 12, the thatched house of Mrs. Kha Thi Tam's family caught fire. After discovering the fire, the militia and villagers came to help the family put out the fire. However, the fire spread quickly and completely burned down the house and all of the household items.

Cao Van Trang's family is in a particularly difficult situation. Both husband and wife do not have stable jobs, their 3 children are often sick, especially the 3rd son who has meningitis, paralyzing both legs.
For many years, Mr. Trang's family has had to live in a seriously degraded house, but they cannot afford to repair it. Faced with this reality, in March 2019, Thai Hoa City Youth Union mobilized businesses and philanthropists to donate 40 million VND to help Mr. Cao Van Trang's family build a new house. To date, after more than 2 months of construction, the house has an area of 64 m2Completed and put into use with a total cost of 200 million VND.

* Youth Union of Prison Camp No. 3 (Tan Ky)presented 200 breakfasts to preschool and primary school students in Duong Le school cluster, each worth 10,000 VND, the total value of the free breakfast was 2 million VND.
Duong Le school cluster is mainly for ethnic minority children from Dong Tho and Duong Le hamlets, where people's lives are still difficult.

Also in Tan Ky,The Standing Committee of the District Youth Union coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union and the District Health Center to organize activities such as health check-ups, consultations, and free medicine distribution for more than 500 people in Dong Van commune; organize propaganda and consultations on adolescent reproductive health care, drowning prevention for adolescents at Dong Van Secondary School and a hand washing day with soap for children at Dong Van 2 Primary School.
