Many charitable activities are taking place in various localities in Nghe An.
(Baonghean.vn) - On December 21st, many localities, agencies, and units organized charitable activities, donating gifts to war veterans, poor households, poor students, and Catholic people in the province.
*To commemorate the 74th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2018), Quynh Luu district organized four delegations to visit and present gifts to 10 families of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers' families, and disadvantaged policy beneficiary families in the district.

During their visits to the families, the leaders of Quynh Luu district expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices made by the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy beneficiary families, and war invalids who dedicated their lives and blood for the peace, independence, and freedom of the Fatherland. At the same time, the district leaders encouraged and wished the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy beneficiary families, and war invalids good health, and that they continue to be exemplary role models and strong pillars for their children and grandchildren to learn from and emulate.
During this visit, the leaders of Quynh Luu district also visited and presented gifts to the 14th Artillery Brigade and the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Post.
*In Ky SonThe Viettel Nghe An Trade Union (Viettel Military Industry and Telecommunications Group) organized the "Connecting with Love" program, donating gifts to poor households and students in Muong Ai commune, Ky Son district, and Muong Ai Border Guard Post (Nghe An Border Guard Command).

Muong Ai commune suffered heavy losses in both human lives and property from two historic floods; transportation routes were cut off for months, causing significant difficulties for the lives, work, education, and daily activities of the people.
To share the difficulties with the local people, the "Connecting with Love" program donated 80 cash gifts to poor students (500,000 VND each), 10 cash gifts to teachers (1 million VND each), and donated 2 blood pressure monitors, 150 warm blankets, and 2,000 sets of warm clothes to the Muong Ai Health Station; and donated a projector to the Muong Ai Border Guard Post for work purposes; the total value of the gifts is 300 million VND.
The "Connecting with Love" program organized by Viettel Nghe An contributes to helping the impoverished Muong Ai commune, located in the heart of the flood zone, overcome difficulties and improve their lives.
*Quỳ Hợp District Veterans AssociationThe association held a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over two houses of gratitude to two members: veteran Lu Van Vien in Cut hamlet (Chau Loc) and veteran Le Van Tiep in Moi village (Chau Tien).
Two veterans, Lu Van Vien and Le Van Tiep, participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country. Both veterans' families are poor and face particularly difficult circumstances, lacking the means to build new houses. To share the difficulties with these families, the Quy Hop District Veterans Association mobilized benefactors to donate 100 million VND to build two charitable houses for the two veterans.
After nearly 3 months of construction, the two houses were completed, with a total construction cost of 80-100 million VND per house (of which, the association mobilized businesses to support each house with 50 million VND, the rest was provided through labor assistance from the Veterans Association of Chau Loc and Chau Tien communes, along with the relatives of the two veterans).
*The Provincial Veterans Association collaborated with the Nghi Loc District Veterans Association.The organization donated wheelchairs to war invalids and sick soldiers with particularly difficult circumstances in the district.

Here, 25 disadvantaged veterans were presented with wheelchairs. The total value of the gifts distributed in this event was 75 million VND.
This is a meaningful activity commemorating the 74th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, helping veterans have means of transportation, making their daily lives and work more convenient, and improving their living conditions.
* On the morning of December 21st, at the Ta Co - Dinh Tien branch school of Chau Hanh Commune Kindergarten and the Chieng Ban 1 branch school of Chau Thang Commune Kindergarten, Quy Chau District,The Quy Chau District Youth Union collaborated with the Youth Union of Vinh Medical University.Two playgrounds for children were inaugurated.

Two playground projects, each with an area of over 120 square meters, began construction in October 2018.2The total construction cost was 20 million VND, funded by donations from the Vinh Medical University Student Union and contributions of labor and manpower from union members, youth in Chau Thang and Chau Hanh communes, teachers, and parents of students from the two schools.
The facility includes various types of play equipment: swings, seesaws, obstacle courses, a traditional Vietnamese game area (O An Quan), hopscotch, etc., all constructed with durable, long-lasting materials and decorated in vibrant colors suitable for the psychology and age group of children.
