Many gifts were given to the poor during the Lunar New Year of 2017.

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 18th, agencies, units, and localities continued to organize visits and tặng gifts to poor households and those with difficult circumstances in the province, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2017 (Year of the Rooster).

On the afternoon of January 18th, the Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Luu district distributed the entire amount of 2.1 billion VND to poor people in the district to celebrate Tet Dinh Dau 2017.

Responding to the appeal from Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh regarding support and assistance for the poor to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year), Quynh Luu district has called on many agencies, organizations, units, and philanthropists to participate in supporting the cause. To date, the entire district has collected nearly 2.1 billion VND to help the poor celebrate Tet.

According to the plan, Quynh Luu district will give each poor household 500,000 VND to celebrate Tet Dinh Dau 2017.

Here, the delegation presented 100 gift packages to poor families and families with particularly difficult circumstances in the commune, each package worth 500,000 VND.

This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the pioneering role of youth in contributing to community life, sharing difficulties, and helping those in particularly difficult circumstances celebrate Tui (the Lunar New Year) happily and warmly.

* State Bank of Vietnam - Nghe An Provincial BranchThe delegation and commercial banks in the province organized the distribution of 250 gift packages to poor ethnic minority people in Tri Le and Nam Nhoong communes (Que Phong district). Previously, the delegation also organized the distribution of 100 gift packages to poor households in Van Loi commune, Quy Hop district.

Each gift package is worth 520,000 VND, including 400,000 VND in cash and the rest in essential necessities. These gifts demonstrate the heartfelt generosity of officials and employees of the banking sector in Nghe An province towards impoverished ethnic minority communities, with the hope of sharing some of their difficulties so that they can celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) fully and warmly.

On this occasion, the company donated 60 gift packages, worth a total of 30 million VND, to the poor in Hung Dao commune. These small gifts represent the heartfelt generosity of the company's leadership and employees, and will help the poor have a warmer Tet holiday.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 45 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to poor families with disabled members and orphaned children in difficult circumstances in the communes. Each gift is a gesture of sharing and encouragement, helping these poor families with disabled members and orphaned children to enjoy the spring and celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year).
