Many countries are deploying aircraft carriers and reconnaissance aircraft to the Middle East to stabilize regional security.
Australia, the UK, and France have all deployed modern assets such as the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle and E-7A Wedgetail aircraft to the Middle East to respond to escalating tensions.
A number of Western nations and their allies have begun deploying carrier strike groups, destroyers, and long-range reconnaissance aircraft to the Middle East. This move comes amid significantly escalating military tensions between Iran and its neighbors following large-scale airstrikes by the US and Israel on Iranian territory.
Australia and the UK are enhancing their reconnaissance and air defense capabilities.
The Australian government has confirmed it will deploy E-7A Wedgetail reconnaissance aircraft to the region to provide early warning and long-range air defense capabilities. Defence Minister Richard Marles said the aircraft will be operated by a crew of 85. In addition, Australia is also providing a number of advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles (AMRAAM) to support defensive operations.

Meanwhile, British Defence Secretary John Healey announced that Royal Air Force Typhoon fighters had successfully shot down two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Jordan. To bolster naval presence, the destroyer HMS Dragon will set sail for the Eastern Mediterranean in the coming days to coordinate with US air defense vessels. Notably, US strategic bombers have also begun landing at air bases in the UK in preparation for specific combat scenarios.
France and Türkiye activate large-scale defense measures.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced the deployment of a powerful naval force, including eight destroyers, two helicopter landing ships, and the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, to the Eastern Mediterranean and the Red Sea. The objective of the operation is to support countries under attack and contribute to de-escalating conflicts in the region.
In Türkiye, NATO's missile defense system deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean intercepted a ballistic missile that entered the country's airspace. According to the Turkish Ministry of Defense, the missile was launched from Iran, and debris fell in the Gaziantep region. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed that the Turkish military is on high alert, monitoring its airspace 24/7 with F-16 fighter jets and an early warning system.
The state of the conflict between Iran and its neighbors.
Tensions escalated after the US and Israel launched airstrikes on key targets in three Iranian provinces, including military command centers and missile production facilities. In response, Tehran launched attacks on Bahrain, the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
In Bahrain, the attacks resulted in casualties, with at least one death. US President Donald Trump noted that Iran's neighbors, who had previously remained neutral, have now begun to side with the US and are retaliating aggressively. Meanwhile, the Israeli military claims it is continuing its large-scale airstrikes on Tehran to destroy the regime's military infrastructure.
