Vinh City Walking StreetOfficially opened on the evening of April 8, every night of operation, the walking street attracts a sea of people from all over to visit and experience. In the first two nights alone, the number of visitors is estimated to reach 20,000 people. The authorities of Truong Thi ward, Vinh city said: On average, every night when the walking street is open, about 2-3 children get lost from their parents or family. The total number of children who have been lost since the walking street officially opened is about 20. Fortunately, all of the lost children have found their relatives.

Mr. Le Khac Hau - Vice ChairmanPeople's Committee of Truong Thi Wardsaid: "During the walking street, every night there were parents who came to the Walking Street Management Board to report that their children were lost. Or there were people who discovered that their children were lost and brought them to the management board to find their parents. After receiving the information, we directed the announcement on the loudspeaker to find the person, and at the same time directed the police and urban forces to coordinate in finding the lost children. After checking and verifying that they were relatives, we handed over the children to their families safely."

According to Mr. Hau, for children who know their names and remember their parents' and relatives' phone numbers, finding their relatives is quite simple. However, if the child is too young and cannot remember the necessary information, the search is more difficult.

Therefore, the authorities recommend that parents need to equip their children with necessary information about the names of relatives, contact phone numbers and guide them to the location of the police force and management board to receive timely help if an incident occurs while participating in the walking street.

On the contrary, when parents unfortunately lose their children, they need to go to places with functional forces and the Walking Street Management Board to report the child's identification features, thereby having a way to quickly handle the situation, avoiding unfortunate incidents from happening.

On the night of April 29, if the weather is favorable, Vinh walking street will continue to operate to serve the people and tourists, so parents need to pay attention, monitor and control their children to avoid getting lost and being taken advantage of by bad guys. If lost, please contact the Walking Street Management Board at No. 49, Ho Tung Mau Street (the intersection of Ho Tung Mau and Nguyen Van Cu Streets) for coordination in handling.
