Many schools in Nghe An announced the benchmark scores for grade 10.

Specifically, this year, Huynh Thuc Khang High School is still the leading school in terms of admission scores to grade 10 with a score of 38.6 points (0.35 points higher than the previous school year).

Currently, after two days of submitting the application, Mr. Cao Thanh Bao - Principal of the school said: About 600/630 targets have been completed. For the remaining targets, the school plans to lower the standard score but not much, about 38 points.

The remaining schools have quite different benchmark scores compared to the leading school. In which, the second place is still Do Luong 1 High School with 29.2 points, Cua Lo High School: 27.1 points, Nam Dan 1 High School: 26.1 points, Hoang Mai High School: 24.4 points, Nguyen Duy Trinh High School: 24.4 points, Anh Son 1 High School: 23.2 points, Nguyen Xuan On High School: 24.3 points.

In the remaining schools, the benchmark score is 1-2 points lower than previous years. Accordingly, the benchmark score of Nghi Loc 4 High School is 20.7 points, Nghi Loc 5 High School: 16.1 points, Pham Hong Thai High School: 18.2 points, Phan Dang Luu High School: 19.6 points, Bac Yen Thanh High School: 21.4 points.

Quynh Luu 1 High School: 22.9 points, Quynh Luu 2 High School: 18.3 points, Quynh Luu 3 High School: 21.2 points, Quynh Luu 4 High School: 21.9 points, Dien Chau 4 High School: 18.7 points, Dien Chau 2 High School: 17.2 points, Dien Chau 3 High School: 22.4 points, Dien Chau 4 High School: 18.7 points, Dien Chau 5 High School: 20.2 points, Tan Ky High School: 16.7 points, Le Loi High School: 18.3 points.

Notably, this year there are many schools with quite low entrance scores such as Thanh Chuong 3 High School: 7.7 points, Nguyen Sy Sach High School: 10.5 points, Nguyen Truong To High School (Hung Nguyen): 12.8 points, Nam Yen Thanh High School: 8.3 points, Con Cuong High School: 10.4 points, Tuong Duong 1 High School: 4.6 points.

It is expected that this is the initial score. After the application deadline, schools will continue to lower the admission score if the admission application is not enough to meet the quota. Next, the Department of Education and Training will continue to review the admission score for the remaining schools that have registered for NV2 and NV3 admission.

In the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2018-2019 school year, the whole province had 33,690 students participating (not including candidates from schools implementing the admission method). Compared to previous years, this year's score is lower because this is the first year Nghe An has applied the combined exam.

Admission scores include Math + Literature scores (coefficient 2) + combined exam subjects (coefficient 1).
