In early September 2022, Ky Son district suffered two consecutive heavy rains and floods that caused serious damage (from September 4-5 and September 7-11). Although it happened for many days, the recovery work is still facing many difficulties. In the photo: Thousands of cubic meters of soil fell on the road from Chieu Luu commune to Bao Thang, making it impossible for people to travel, and the two localities are still isolated. Although the local authorities have mobilized machinery to level the area, they are still unable to cope with the huge amount of soil. Photo: Quang An |

Mr. Nguyen Huu Minh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Son district said that the recent flood caused damage to the locality estimated at 100 billion VND. With that level of damage, the district does not have the capacity to overcome it, so the district requested the province and the Central Government to support the locality soon. According to information from the People's Committee of Ky Son district, as of the afternoon of September 15, there were still 7 villages of Chieu Luu and Bao Nam communes with over 1,500 people isolated. In addition, the main road from Bao Thang commune to the district center has not been opened to traffic. Photo: Xuan Hoang |
