On the night of September 23rd, landslides continued to occur in many locations. In particular, on National Highway 16, the section passing through Chuoi Hill in Chau Kim commune saw large rocks slide onto the road surface, causing traffic congestion.

According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Head of the Que Phong Traffic Management Unit, a landslide occurred early this morning, September 24th, with a volume exceeding 100 cubic meters.3At kilometer 264+700, approximately 300 meters above the previously severe subsidence point, the unit mobilized equipment this morning to clear the debris and reopen the road at 8:00 AM.

In addition, several roads in Que Phong district were blocked due to landslides on the night of September 23rd. Ms. Vi Thi Duyen, Head of the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Que Phong district, said: At km 138+310 of National Highway 48, the section passing through Thong Thu commune continued to experience landslides with a considerable amount of soil and rocks, causing traffic congestion.

"Immediately after the landslide, the local authorities and relevant agencies put up warning signs and proceeded with remediation and clearing of the debris. By 8 am this morning, motorbikes were able to pass through the landslide areas," said Ms. Vi Thi Duyen.

Previously, landslides frequently occurred at several points along Route 48, specifically the section passing through Thong Thu commune and the road from Chau Kim to the border commune of Nam Giai. Local authorities mobilized forces and coordinated with relevant agencies to quickly clear the roads.
In particular, landslides have occurred in several locations, affecting the lives of local people. Over the past two days, Que Phong district has relocated 26 households from dangerous areas.
