Many cars in Vinh City had their tires punctured overnight.
After parking their cars in front of their homes overnight, many families in Block 15, Truong Thi Ward (Vinh City) were upset when their car tires were punctured by thieves.
Mr. Phan Huy The, residing at house number 7, Cao Huy Dinh Street, Block 15, Truong Thi Ward (Vinh City), expressed his frustration, stating: This morning, when he woke up early to go to work, he discovered that the right rear tire of his car, parked right in front of his house, had been punctured by vandals. Upon checking, he found that six other cars had also been similarly punctured.

Mr. The said that because he was in a hurry to get to work, he had to call a mechanic to temporarily patch the tire. However, because the puncture was across the side of the tire, in the long run, to ensure safety, he would have to replace it. He doesn't understand what motivated the vandals to damage a series of vehicles like that.

Similarly, Ms. Thao, residing at house number 5, Cao Huy Dinh Street, also had her right rear tire punctured. What's noteworthy is that Ms. Thao had just had her rear tire replaced at a cost of over 3 million VND more than a month ago.
Present at the area where residents' cars were vandalized, and reviewing surveillance camera footage recorded by residents, it was discovered that the vandalism occurred between approximately 3:45 and 4:00 AM on July 3rd. The suspected perpetrator was riding a bicycle, wearing a hat and a face mask. After using a long iron bar to puncture the tires, the suspect rode away on their bicycle.

According to reports, the act of vandals puncturing the tires of people's parked cars on the roadside is not a recent occurrence in Vinh City. Earlier in 2024, many people bringing their children for examination and treatment at Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital also encountered a similar situation when parking along the roads surrounding the hospital. This is an act of vandalism against citizens' property that must be condemned.

In a conversation with representatives from the Truong Thi Ward Police, we learned that: This morning (July 3rd), the Truong Thi Ward Police dispatched officers from the Criminal Investigation team to the area to assess the situation and will verify and investigate the matter as soon as possible.
