Many hamlets along Lam River are isolated.

After storm No. 10 made landfall, many localities downstream of Lam River were severely affected by prolonged heavy rain combined with high tides. Heavy rain and floodwaters pouring in from upstream caused many communes along Lam River such as Lam Thanh, Hung Nguyen Nam... to fall into a state of deep flooding.

Comrade Cao Anh Duc - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen Nam commune said: Currently, in Xuan Lam 9 hamlet, the bridge in the commune has been flooded, making it difficult for people to travel. The immediate living conditions are still basically stable, however, if the water level continues to rise to half the dike in the next 2 days, the commune will deploy a plan to provide necessities to the people. In case the water level reaches alarm level 3, the commune will organize the evacuation of people inside the dike to ensure safety. Photo: Dinh Tuyen

Storm No. 10 has passed but left behind heavy damage to the downstream of Lam River. Houses, crops and infrastructure were severely affected, people's lives were disrupted.
