Just like when coming to many other Khmu villages, when visiting Phia Oi, people still have the feeling that life is quite slow with the image of old men and women leisurely sitting in front of their porches and by the windows. Photo: Dinh Tuyen

Phia Oi is the last village in Nhon Mai commune to have national grid electricity at the end of October 2023. According to Mr. Xeo Van Dinh, in the past, people mainly used self-generated electricity from small turbines on the stream, so the power source was unstable. National grid electricity will help people have more opportunities to develop the economy. Currently, most of the people in the village have connected to the grid, only a few households have not used electricity because they are working far away or have some paperwork problems and have not been able to sign a contract with the Electricity industry.
