Another group including Tran Van Dinh (24 years old), Vi Thi Dung (21 years old, Dinh's girlfriend) and Doan Van Quan (31 years old) together stole 2 mirrors from a Fortuner car, the property value was over 15 million VND. Quan alone committed 4 other cases with 7 mirrors of various types.
According to the police, after stealing the car mirrors, the thieves sold them to Nguyen Manh Duc (47 years old) and Le Thi Nhuong (28 years old) - the owners of an auto parts store in Mai Dong ward, Hoang Mai district. Duc was trusted by the thieves and asked for his phone number so that when he had the goods, he could bring them to sell.
Before buying, Duc and his wife asked very carefully about the time and place of the crime so that they could later resell it to the person who lost the property when they came to Cho Troi to buy it back. Police said Duc personally wandered around this market to find people who bought lost auto parts. If he found the right owner, Duc would charge a very high price.
Police have seized more than 40 spare parts, car mirrors and many crime tools such as iron scissors, wrenches and knives.
