(Baonghean.vn) - In a short period of time, a group of young men from Tien Thuy village, Quynh Luu district (Nghe An province) brazenly broke into people's homes, stole motorbikes and televisions to sell for money to spend.

On the morning of December 18th, at Quynh Nghia commune, the People's Court of Quynh Luu district held a mobile trial for defendants accused of "theft of property" as stipulated in Article 138 of the Penal Code.

According to the indictment, the defendants brought to trial include: Cao Xuan Minh (born in 2000); Ho Ngoc Huy (born in 1994) and Ho Ngoc Hoang (born in 1993), all residing in Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district.

Accordingly, from July 28, 2017 to August 16, 2017, the three young men repeatedly broke into people's homes to steal property.

On the first occasion, on July 28, 2017, Cao Xuan Minh and Ho Ngoc Hoang conspired to sneak into the yard of Ms. Dinh Thi Mai's house in Quynh Nghia commune and steal a Honda Wave Alpha motorbike with license plate 37L1-471..., which they then sold for 13 million VND.

On August 15th, Cao Xuan Minh and Ho Ngoc Huy secretly broke into the house of Le Van Dat in Phong Thang hamlet, Tien Thuy commune, to steal a 55-inch Samsung television, which they then sold for 2 million VND.

On August 16th, Cao Xuan Minh and Ho Ngoc Huy conspired again to steal a Wave RSX motorbike with license plate 37L1 - 215..., which they sold for 6 million VND.

While the suspects were receiving the money from the sale of the vehicle, the police of Quynh Luu district raided the premises and caught them red-handed in the act of theft.

In total, Cao Xuan Minh committed thefts 3 times, stealing property worth 51.5 million VND; Ho Ngoc Huy committed thefts 2 times, stealing property worth 36 million VND; and Ho Ngoc Hoang committed thefts 1 time, stealing property worth 15.5 million VND.

For the aforementioned charges, the People's Court of Quynh Luu District sentenced defendant Cao Xuan Minh to 24 months imprisonment plus 12 months of previous sentence, for a total sentence of 36 months imprisonment. Ho Ngoc Huy received 12 months imprisonment and Ho Ngoc Hoang received 10 months imprisonment.
