In the long term, the management unit proposes to the Ministry of Transport to upgrade it into a comprehensive port area for the entire North Central region.
ProjectNghi Thiet Deepwater PortIt is considered an important project that not only creates a "boost" for the development of Nghe An province and the North Central provinces but also promotes economic exchange with Northeast Thailand and Central Laos.
In this port area, there is a wharf nearly 2,000 meters long, which has previously welcomed ships weighing over 70,000 tons for loading and unloading goods.
