(Baonghean.vn) - Golden sunshine, blue sea, white sand, and tranquility are what visitors can feel the moment they set foot on the beaches of Nghe An. Located in the central region of Vietnam, with an 82 km long coastline, it is always considered an ideal tourist destination in the North during the summer.

Cua Lo

Vào mỗi buổi bình minh, du khách sẽ cảm nhận có một Cửa Lò yên bình khi thuyền về.
At each sunrise, visitors will experience a different Cua Lo as the boats return. Cua Lo beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Northern Vietnam. Photo: Sach Nguyen

Cua Lo Beach is located in Cua Lo town, 16 km northeast of Vinh city, nearly 300 km from Hanoi, and 1,400 km from Ho Chi Minh City. With a length of nearly 10 km, Cua Lo beach has a gentle slope and clear blue water.

This place boasts many varieties of strangely beautiful sea daisies, planted by King Bao Dai. But the most enjoyable experience is floating on the basket boats, feeling the gentle tug of the squid when it bites the hook, the pleasure of using a net to catch a fresh, glistening silver squid, and savoring grilled or steamed squid amidst the gentle waves.

Hien Gate

Cửa Hiền is located in Diễn Trung commune, Diễn Châu district, 35 km from Vinh City. Legend says this is where King An Dương Vương beheaded Princess Mỵ Châu before following the Golden Turtle God into the sea.

The beach in Cua Hien area is flat with fine sand. Cua Hien beach still retains its pristine beauty and is the only place in Nghe An province that is not affected by the Lao wind.

The first impression upon arriving at Cua Hien beach is the long stretch of rocks along the coastline. Perhaps because the rocks lining the beach resemble a "fishing ground," the locals call it Ngu Hai beach (Fishing Sea Beach). On the outer edge, there is a round rock, over 2 meters high, with a fairly flat top, known as the "Immortal's Chessboard." Legend says that whenever the immortals descended to the mortal world, they would land on this rock to play chess, drink wine, and admire the earthly scenery.

Cua Hoi

Người Nghệ An vẫn có câu
People in Nghe An still have a saying, "Eat at Cua Hoi - wade in at Cua Lo," meaning that Cua Hoi is still the best for seafood specialties (Photo by Ho Chien).

Cua Hoi Beach is the mouth of the river where the Lam Giang River flows into the East Sea. Cua Hoi will captivate visitors with the tranquility of quiet afternoons or the bustling activity of the fish market when boats return to the harbor.

The Cua Hoi beach resort area, located in Nghi Hai and Nghi Hoa wards, is connected to Cua Lo town, forming an ideal sightseeing and relaxation route for tourists. From Cua Lo and Cua Hoi, following the Lam River tourist route to Vinh City and then to Nam Dan, the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh; along the coast of Cua Hoi, there are pine forests and mangrove forests that rustle year-round with the waves.

Quynh Beach

Quynh Beach is not actually the name of a single beach, but rather a general term referring to seven adjacent beaches in seven communes of Quynh Luu district and Hoang Mai town. These beaches are named Quynh Phuong, Quynh Lien, Quynh Bang, Quynh Luong, Quynh Minh, Quynh Nghia, and Tien Thuy, located 65 km from Vinh City.

Quynh Phuong beach is associated with Corn Temple - one of the four most sacred temples in Nghe An province. Quynh Lien and Quynh Bang "pamper" tourists with their gently sloping sand and calm waves.

Visitors to Quynh Beach should not only explore nature but also enjoy delicious seafood. If you visit Quynh Nghia, be sure to look for the eateries along the beach, which perfectly suit the criteria of being tasty, nutritious, and affordable for backpackers.

Bai Lu

Located in Nghi Loc district of Nghe An province, Bai Lu beach is named after Lu Son mountain, which has stood majestically on the beach for thousands of years.

Upon arriving at Bai Lu Beach, visitors will be amazed by the perfect combination of the crystal-clear blue waters of the sea on one side and the lush green of the whispering pine forests on the other. The soft, silky sands undulating along the waves give Bai Lu Beach a gentle, graceful appearance, like a young maiden.

Dien Thanh

Dien Thanh Beach (Dien Chau) is about 40 km from Vinh City. Unlike other bustling beach destinations, Dien Thanh Beach possesses an exceptionally peaceful atmosphere…

Dien Thanh Beach is most beautiful at the transition between day and night. Strolling along the shore, feeling the refreshing breeze, gazing at the vast sea and soft sand, visitors will feel relaxed, forgetting all the fatigue, hardships, and worries of everyday life.
