There are some unique license plate numbers in Vietnam that not everyone knows about.
Besides the standard license plates used for private and commercial vehicles, there are many special license plates in circulation in Vietnam that not everyone is aware of.
The license plate has a blue background and white lettering.
Blue-background license plates are used for vehicles belonging to state administrative agencies; state power agencies; judicial and prosecutorial agencies; the People's Public Security force; Party agencies; and political and social organizations.

Vehicles with blue license plates are essentially vehicles specifically used by government and non-profit organizations. Individuals permitted to drive cars with blue license plates on public roads are those working for state agencies and public service organizations.
These license plates use one of five letters: A, B, C, D, E.
The license plate has a red background and white lettering.
Red license plates are designated for cars, two-wheeled motorcycles, three-wheeled motorcycles, semi-trailers, etc., managed by the Ministry of National Defense.
To distinguish vehicles belonging to different units, military vehicles have specific symbols on their red license plates that correspond to each different military agency or unit.
Foreign license plates
Foreign license plates typically have a white background with black letters and numbers (in some cases, red). License plates with the letters NG indicate vehicles belonging to diplomatic missions, consular offices, and foreign personnel working for those missions.
License plates with the symbol "NN" are issued to vehicles of foreign organizations, representative offices, and individuals; license plates with the symbol "CV" are issued to vehicles of administrative and technical staff holding official identification cards of diplomatic missions, consular offices, and international organizations; license plates with the symbol "QT" are issued to vehicles of representative offices of international organizations and foreign staff holding diplomatic identification cards.

Yellow license plates with red letters and numbers, bearing the local registration symbol and the two-letter abbreviation of the special economic-trade zone or international border economic zone, are issued to vehicles in special economic-trade zones or international border economic zones as stipulated by the Government.
