The "steel roses" of Nghe An mobile police
(Baonghean.vn)- Although they are women, when directly fighting against all kinds of criminals, the female mobile police officers at the Mobile Police Company (Nghe An Police) always prove that they are "steel roses"...
I still remember that more than a year ago, we were assigned to an armed patrol with the working group of the Mobile Police Company (Nghe An Police) led by Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Minh Nghiem, the Company Commander. Joining the working group that night was a female mobile police officer.
At about 9:00 p.m. the same day, when the working group arrived at An Duong Vuong Street, in Truong Thi Ward (Vinh City), they received a report that two subjects riding a motorbike without a license plate had just snatched a cell phone from a passerby.

The hours of hard training on the training ground of female mobile police officers |
Immediately, the task force split up to block the way, we decided to follow the policewoman's car. When we reached Phan Dang Luu street, we discovered two suspicious subjects. Immediately, this policewoman accelerated, and together with her teammates, approached and forced the other person's car to fall over. When the two robbers just got up and tried to run away, they were quickly restrained by the policewoman. The incident happened very quickly, in less than 1 minute.
Later, at the police station, the two subjects confessed that they were Nguyen Trung Sang (born in 1996) and Tran Van Tuan (born in 1995), both residing in Vinh Tan ward (Vinh city). During the period of 5 days, they used knives to threaten and successfully carried out 4 robberies, taking 4 cell phones from passersby in the city.
Through research we learned that the petite but brave and courageous female mobile police officer is Sergeant Hoang Thi Thu Ha.
Colonel Nguyen Trong Doi, Head of the Mobile Police Department (PC65) of Nghe An Police, added: At the unit, there are currently 3 female special police officers working, including Lieutenant Vo Thi Huyen Trang, Lieutenant Chu Thi Ngoc and Sergeant Hoang Thi Thu Ha. These "steel roses" have the same training regime, discipline and martial arts training as the male officers and soldiers in the entire unit. |
From the introduction of Colonel Doi, we had the opportunity to meet Sergeant Hoang Thi Thu Ha right after she had just finished her training session on the training ground. Ha shared: I love the police profession so I decided to take the exam to enter the Armed Police College. After years of hard training and being assigned to receive tasks in combat units such as the Mobile Police, Ha herself has come to understand the hardships and difficulties of the profession. Saying that does not mean to complain about hardships, but through that, I feel more honored and proud of the task of "staying awake so the people can sleep, standing guard so the people can have fun"...
Lieutenant Vo Thi Huyen Trang, who has many years of experience, has participated in many cases of arresting criminals, rescuing hostages and "cooling down" hot spots in the area, confided that female police officers have physical limitations compared to men, but they have the advantage of being more flexible and agile in negotiations. She herself has the advantage that her husband works in the same unit, so they often support each other in their work.

Before "departure" time. |
Lieutenant Chu Thi Ngoc shared that facing criminals is often not as stressful as training sessions. In addition to the usual martial arts exercises, female mobile police officers also have to go through difficult exercises such as swinging upside down on walls and high-rise buildings. This movement requires courage and high technique, absolute precision, just a small mistake can cause injury, even danger. At first, it was very confusing, it took a long time to get used to the strict discipline. After each training session, the whole body ached, even the skin was scratched and left many scars, but she was still determined to stick with the profession.
The female mobile police officers do not shy away from any work. From field trips, armed patrols to control and handle traffic safety violations or going on special missions at the request of the leaders. Remember, in 2015, in the working group of Nghe An Police to raid "gold thieves" in the border district of Que Phong, there were two female police officers: Sergeant Hoang Thi Thu Ha and Lieutenant Chu Thi Ngoc.

A break for female mobile police officers on the training ground. |
Even though they have to climb mountains, wade through streams, cross mountains and forests, these “steel roses” are still ready to go, sacrificing themselves for the peace and happiness of the people. Many times they have faced many types of reckless criminals, people who disregard the law, curse, insult, even use weapons to threaten and attack the police force. However, they are not discouraged, but always maintain the steel spirit of a police officer.
Like many other women, after hours of hard training on the training ground and stressful, difficult and challenging working sessions, the female Mobile Police quietly return to their daily lives, fulfilling their responsibilities as a good wife and mother. They have been contributing to building and beautifying the image of the Police officer "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people".
