The heartbreaking deaths of Vietnamese workers abroad.
(Baonghean.vn) - In recent years, many Vietnamese workers living and working abroad have lost their lives in foreign lands due to various reasons, shocking the public.
1 - Two days later, two Vietnamese workers were shot dead by robbers in Angola.

On March 5, 2016, the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola issued a statement announcing the sad news of the death of Mr. Dang Quoc Nghia, born on December 28, 1972, originally from Cam Nam commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province, who died at 3:00 AM on March 3, 2016. The cause of death was believed to be an attack and shooting by unknown assailants.
Just two days later, on March 7, 2016, similar information from the Vietnamese diplomatic mission in Angola reported another murder case involving Mr. Nguyen Viet Hau (Son Tho commune, Vu Quang district, Ha Tinh province), born on July 7, 1983. Like Mr. Nghia, Mr. Hau was shot dead by robbers in Uige province on March 5. Tragically, Mr. Hau left behind his elderly mother, wife, and two young children in his hometown.
Information about the deaths of two Vietnamese workers in Angola was shared on social media by the Vietnamese community in this African country, who called on everyone to help the families of the two unfortunate victims.
2 - A Vietnamese worker was stabbed to death in Taiwan.
The incident occurred around 4 PM on October 18, 2015, when Hoang was sleeping in his room preparing for his night shift. Suddenly, a stranger came and started a fight with his two roommates.
Seeing the three people arguing loudly, Hoang woke up and told them to settle their differences quietly and go outside so he could get some sleep. After saying that, and seeing that the person left without saying anything, Hoang went back to bed and continued sleeping.
About 10 minutes later, the man returned carrying a fruit knife and suddenly attacked Hoang's two roommates, stabbing them repeatedly. Hearing the screams for help, Hoang, who had just woken up and didn't understand what was happening, was stabbed to death on the spot. After committing the crime, the man fled the scene.
3 - A Vietnamese man was found dead with his throat cut in Nagoya, Japan.

A Vietnamese man in Japan was found with his throat cut on the evening of July 30, 2016, at his home after drinking alcohol with friends. The victim was subsequently taken to the hospital but did not survive. Around 10:30 PM, the Japanese police's 119 emergency hotline received a report from the victim's roommate.
Reportedly, the victim died from excessive blood loss from the cut despite being taken to the hospital. According to the roommate's testimony, before the throat-cutting incident, the victim had been drinking with some colleagues from work and had an argument with one of the Vietnamese men.
4 - Vietnamese worker dies in fire in South Korea

A 32-year-old Vietnamese man died in a fire that occurred at 6:51 PM on September 4, 2016, on the second floor of a house in Gwangsan District, Gwangju City, South Korea (approximately 300 km southwest of Seoul).
At the time of the fire, the victim was sleeping in his bedroom on the second floor while his wife was at work, and those living on the first floor of the house ran outside when they saw smoke rising.
The Vietnamese community in the area said the victim in the fire was a Vietnamese worker named Le Ba Luan, 32 years old, from Ninh Hiep hamlet, Bau Nang commune, Duong Minh Chau district, Tay Ninh province.
5 - A Vietnamese worker was murdered in Malaysia.
On the afternoon of September 27, 2015 (Vietnam time), while inspecting a rented room in Seri Alam district, Johor state, Malaysia, a landlord discovered the dismembered body of a man inside a suitcase, in an advanced state of decomposition. The victim was identified as a Vietnamese citizen.
The information was immediately reported to Malaysian authorities. After verifying the identity and conducting an autopsy, which determined the victim had died 3-4 days prior, the victim was quickly identified as Nguyen Dinh Quyet, born in 1988 (from Tra Son hamlet, Son Phuc commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province).
6 - Vietnamese worker shot dead in Angola

The victim was Le Van Que (born in 1983), residing in Xuan Lien commune, Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh province). While working in Angola, he was shot dead by armed robbers in the Viana-Luanda area on October 4, 2015.
It is understood that Mr. Le Van Que went to work in Angola on an individual basis, applying for a visa and finding work independently, and was not under the management of any labor export agencies. Therefore, all costs for bringing his body back to Vietnam will have to be borne by his family.
Previously, on the morning of June 11, 2015, a worker from Dien Thai commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An province) was shot dead by robbers while working in Angola. The victim was Pham Van Tuan (born in 1982, residing in Hamlet 1, Dien Thai commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province).
Initial reports indicate that at 7:30 AM on June 8th, while Mr. Tuan was on his way to work in Camama, Luanda (Angola), he was suddenly shot dead by a group of armed robbers.
