Despite coming from different regions and working in various fields and professions, the contributors to Nghe An Newspaper all share one common point of connection – a love and passion for journalism and a desire to contribute to the newspaper's continued growth and wider reach among its readers.

Throughout its journey of development and information dissemination, Nghe An Newspaper has always been proud to have the companionship of many dedicated collaborators, including Mr. Tran Quoc Thanh - former Director of the Nghe An Department of Science and Technology, a person who has been closely associated with the newspaper for many years, both during his tenure and after retirement.

With extensive experience in management and research, he has devoted much effort to analytical articles, critiques, and policy sharing related to science, technology, and economics. His articles not only clearly demonstrate strategic vision and practical experience but also contribute to providing readers with a deep and multifaceted understanding of economic and social issues occurring in Nghe An and the region.

After retiring, Mr. Thanh had even more time to collaborate with Nghe An Newspaper. The areas he was most interested in and involved with were economics and development policies, especially issues related to institutional reform, innovation in growth models, and unlocking local resources. His articles were characterized by scientific critique, contributing positively to shaping public opinion and promoting development ideas.

He argued that policy critique "is not about 'speaking against' or simply seeking attention, but about contributing to making policies truly feasible, reasonable, and best serving the development of society and the lives of the people." Therefore, before each policy issue requiring critique, he always dedicates time to thoroughly research data, read documents, analyze the actual situation, and consult with many stakeholders affected by that policy.

According to Mr. Thanh, the most important thing in policy critique is to have comprehensive data from various sources, both domestic and international, and covering the entire cycle. Data is not only used to support arguments but also serves as the basis for developing specific recommendations. Because, "without data, critique is merely personal opinion. To be heard, one must persuade with real-world evidence, with clear comparisons and contrasts between the policy and its effects," Mr. Thanh said.

This is precisely why his articles published in the Nghe An newspaper are always highly regarded by experts and relevant agencies for their systematic approach, reliability, and constructive spirit. Furthermore, he recognizes that policy critique is a long-term process, not something that can be accomplished overnight. A good policy, if implemented hastily without impact assessment and a proper roadmap, can easily backfire. Therefore, critique is not only about responding promptly to pressing issues, but also about continuously pursuing and updating policy adjustments step by step, aiming for perfection in both content and implementation.

Even after retirement, his work never stops. He frequently goes on field trips, talking to people, businesses, and local officials to listen to feedback from those directly affected by policies. Through this, he discovers gaps between regulations and practice; and the impracticality of some policies supporting rural development, where people have difficulty accessing them due to complicated procedures and unreasonable conditions.

"

I hope that Nghe An Newspaper will continue to maintain and develop its sections on economics, innovation, entrepreneurship, as well as new models and best practices at the grassroots level. These sections serve as an important bridge between the government, businesses, and the people, contributing to the comprehensive development of the province...

In particular, he is passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, and technological development. He closely follows and supports young people and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their search for new business models and practical technological solutions. In his articles, he always pays special attention to the startup ecosystem in Nghe An, proposing practical solutions to support the sustainable development of the startup community.

As a lawyer, what constantly preoccupies Mr. Nguyen Trong Hai is not only the individual legal cases he is involved in, but also his greater responsibility – the responsibility of conveying legal knowledge to the community, especially to the vulnerable in society. Therefore, Mr. Hai views his collaboration with Nghe An Newspaper as a meaningful connection between his legal expertise and the communication mission of revolutionary journalism.

"I began collaborating with Nghe An Newspaper as a consultant and critic on hot, sensitive issues of public concern. The 'Legal Advice' column, regularly maintained in the newspaper, is not only a channel for sharing legal knowledge but also a bridge for people to understand and correctly implement the law. Through each question and situation sent in, I realized that the need for legal explanations and guidance among the people is very great, and that motivates me to write and share more," shared lawyer Nguyen Trong Hai.

In January 2015, a memorable milestone was reached when the Free Legal Aid Office officially began operations – the result of close cooperation between Nghe An Newspaper and Trong Hai & Associates Law Office. Since then, free legal consultations have been regularly held every Thursday morning. "Listening to and answering legal questions for people, especially those who cannot afford to hire a lawyer, is our greatest joy and motivation to persevere in this activity," said Mr. Hai.

The lawyer added: "I always feel happy and grateful to receive the trust and dedicated cooperation of the Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper. This partnership has helped our legal aid activities spread more widely and practically to the people. Beyond providing legal support, we also work together to improve legal awareness, contributing to building a just, civilized, and law-abiding society."

Mr. Dang Anh Dung – Former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Chuong District Party Committee.

Having served as a leader of the Thanh Chuong District Party Committee for many years, Mr. Dang Anh Dung spent almost his entire working life closely connected with the grassroots. Throughout those years, Nghe An Newspaper was an indispensable companion. “Nghe An Newspaper not only helped me stay informed in a timely manner, but it was also a very important channel for public opinion. Through the newspaper, I better understood the issues that cadres, Party members, and the people were concerned about; at the same time, I learned many good and creative practices from other localities,” Mr. Dung recalled.

The Nghe An newspaper pages placed on his desk every morning were not merely information tools, but also vivid "political documents," which helped him and the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee gradually develop many resolutions and action programs that were practical, closely aligned with the situation and aspirations of the people.

Even after retiring, Mr. Dung did not allow himself to "retire" mentally. On the contrary, he continued to follow current events and update himself through newspapers, especially Nghe An Newspaper, with a proactive and responsible spirit. He read not only to grasp information but also to write and share his concerns about political and social issues.

In particular, stemming from his concerns about Party building, he began writing insightful political essays, closely combining theory and practice. His articles submitted to the editorial office were always sharp, coherent, and logically sound, clearly reflecting the character and practical experience of an official who had spent many years leading Party work at the grassroots level. Many of his articles published in the Nghe An newspaper received significant attention from readers, especially cadres and Party members at the grassroots level. He was not afraid to frankly reflect on deviations in political awareness, the dangers from the negative aspects of media technology, and especially the necessity of maintaining faith in the Party and the chosen path.

Regardless of the perspective, he always maintained a consistent spirit, because "Writing is to defend what is right, to fight against what is wrong; to strengthen faith in the Party's leadership role. Writing is to contribute a voice, to avoid being left out. Writing is to show that I am still working, still a Party member with responsibility to society," Mr. Dung shared.

Looking ahead, Mr. Dang Anh Dung places high hopes on Nghe An Newspaper, which he calls his "lifelong friend." He hopes that, in this age of information explosion, the newspaper will maintain its role in guiding public opinion, serving as a reliable, timely, and accurate source of information, and always accompanying the process of innovation and development of the homeland. "Readers now have more choices than before. But precisely because of this, the role of a Party newspaper needs to be affirmed even more clearly: that is, reliability, accuracy, and leadership," Mr. Dung emphasized.

Journalism in the digital age is supported by countless "powerful tools": the internet, social media, digital platforms... enabling reporters to quickly access, analyze, and report information from all over the country and the world. But in that fast-paced flow, information about culture, art, and spiritual life plays the role of a necessary pause to soften the news stream, allowing people to connect with each other more deeply through emotional depth and cultural identity.

Dinh Thi Phuong Thuy - Reporter, Literature and Arts Department (VOV).

As a reporter specializing in culture and art at the Literature and Arts Department (VOV), the value of emotional depth is even more evident for Dinh Thi Phuong Thuy. According to her, even though artificial intelligence can analyze and synthesize thousands of data points, it cannot replace human emotion, the very material that gives soul to an article about an artist, art, or an everyday story from her hometown.

Born in Nghe An province, Dinh Thi Phuong Thuy left her hometown quite early. Even so, she always carried a sense of obligation to her roots, as if she hadn't had the chance to truly understand and love her homeland before having to leave. Only after going far away, witnessing and experiencing more, did she begin to see the simple yet profound beauty of her homeland and long to return – even if only through words, cultural stories, and ways of life.

Through the connections of journalists, such as journalist Van Khanh (VOV), journalist Phuong Chi, and the editors and technicians of Nghe An Newspaper, Dinh Thi Phuong Thuy came to work at Nghe An Newspaper.

She shared: "From the first time I visited the editorial office, I felt the warm, open, and responsible atmosphere of my colleagues. Whenever Nghe An Newspaper needs support in connecting with professors and leading experts, I am always ready, not only because of my professional responsibility, but also because it is my way of contributing a small part to becoming more connected to my homeland."

For Dinh Thi Phuong Thuy, the articles she submits to the editorial board not only use the language of journalism, but also the voice of a daughter who wants to understand and love the place that raised her. She always appreciates the sincere feedback and dedicated support of the Nghe An Newspaper team, not just as colleagues, but as close friends, sharing the same roots.

"

Collaborating with Nghe An Newspaper has given me the opportunity to recount the unique cultural and artistic stories of Nghe An province in a voice imbued with personal emotion...

Reporter Dinh Thi Phuong Thuy - Literature and Arts Department (VOV)

In the context of integration and globalization, every local newspaper faces numerous challenges: They must be quick to grasp current events, maintain their unique identity, and meet the increasingly high expectations of readers both domestically and internationally. Dinh Thi Phuong Thuy assesses that Nghe An Newspaper has been doing just that through its serious approach to its work, its continuous efforts at innovation, while still preserving its core values, especially in the fields of culture and art. Even small changes are enough to create a new, more dynamic and profound image for Nghe An Newspaper.

And looking ahead, she hopes the newspaper will continue to maintain its identity, build its brand, and become a spiritual bridge not only for the people of the province but also for those from Nghe An living far from home who always long to "return," in some way, through each article and each page of the newspaper.
