If a family has a harvest schedule, they just need to call and inform us, and no matter the time, our team will arrange for loaders and trucks to transport the rice directly to their household."

Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Chairman of the Hoa Thanh Commune General Service Cooperative, added: Currently, the entire commune has 9 transport vehicles participating in transporting rice, including 6 trucks, 3 tractors, and volunteer rice loading and drying teams for households under quarantine.

The Hoa Thanh Commune General Service Cooperative is responsible for overall management, including coordinating vehicles, loading and unloading labor, and drying rice, both to speed up the process and to ensure social distancing to prevent the spread of the disease. To date, Hoa Thanh commune has harvested 100 out of 208 hectares, and according to the plan, the harvest will be completed in about 10 days.

Currently, there are more than 10 cars and agricultural vehicles in My Thanh commune.And in recent days, many volunteers have been actively going to the fields to help people transport rice home free of charge. Rice transport vehicles are operating at full capacity, with 10-12 trips per vehicle per day.

Thanks to the assistance of volunteer teams, the harvesting of the summer-autumn rice crop in Yen Thanh district has been accelerated. According to a report from the Yen Thanh District Department of Agriculture, 8,000 out of 11,323 hectares of summer-autumn rice have been harvested so far, and the harvest is expected to be completed around September 2nd.
