When visiting President Ho Chi Minh's birthplace, one of the most well-known and impressive routes is Provincial Road 540, the section connecting National Highway 46 with the Kim Lien Special National Historical Site, which features two rows of ancient mahogany trees, quite unique. Photo: Huy Thu

According to officials in Kim Lien commune, since the 1960s, in response to President Ho Chi Minh's call for a tree-planting festival, local people have planted hundreds of mahogany trees along the road to Lang Sen village. Nearly 60 years later, having weathered storms and historical changes, the mahogany trees in President Ho Chi Minh's hometown still thrive, providing abundant shade. Photo: Huy Thu

In 2012, this road was renovated, upgraded, and expanded with an additional lane, and a row of trees was planted on the right side (when viewed from the outside). The trees along this road are carefully maintained by staff at the Kim Lien Historical Site. For a long time, these ancient mahogany trees have left an unforgettable impression on visitors to the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh. Photo: Huy Thu

The roads from the Kim Lien roundabout to Chung Son Temple, to President Ho Chi Minh's maternal hometown, or from National Highway 46 to Hoang Tru village are all lined with many trees. In particular, many species of flowers bloom seasonally, such as flamboyant trees, crape myrtle, lotus, and hibiscus... Photo: Huy Thu
