The Veterans Association branch in Block 7, Quynh Xuan Ward, Hoang Mai Town, has 18 members. For many years, this branch has done a good job of ideological work and propaganda, encouraging the people of Xuan An Parish to unite, trust in the Party's leadership, not listen to the incitement of reactionary forces, always be conscious of "living a good life and upholding moral values," promoting patriotic emulation movements, and expanding charity with the motto "respect God and love the country."
At the same time, the veterans and local people have successfully implemented the campaigns "All people unite to build a cultured life in residential areas," "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas," etc.
Veterans in Block 7, Quynh Xuan Ward, actively exchange information and help each other develop economically, supporting local residents in poverty alleviation and achieving prosperity. Most notably, many veterans have strived to become wealthy households through intensive shrimp farming. Mr. Nguyen Van Dai, the head of the Veterans Association in Block 7, is one of those who have succeeded with this shrimp farming model. In addition, the Veterans Association in Block 7 has established a Veterans Club with 18 members, actively developing the economy and assisting the government in maintaining security and order in the area.

For example, Mr. Tran Van Quyen - Vice Chairman of the Veterans Club of Block 7 - is one of the wealthy households from shrimp farming, involved in managing and operating a garment company in the town. He himself is also a leading example in Hoang Mai town in social welfare activities, making positive contributions to building solidarity in the area…
Veterans in Block 7 also mobilized residents to donate land and fences for urban beautification; effectively carried out traffic corridor clearance; and contributed to the construction of the Block 7 Cultural House with a volleyball court. The Block 7 Veterans Association has been recognized as an exemplary, clean, and strong organization for many years.
And atQuynh Vinh commune(Hoang Mai town), the Veterans Association branch in Hamlet 9 stands out for its model of contributing to the construction of new rural areas and eliminating dilapidated and temporary housing for poor households: In the 5 years from 2016 to 2021, the Veterans Association branch in Hamlet 9 developed a fund for members to borrow when in difficulty and coordinated with political and social organizations in the hamlet to mobilize people to build 1.6 km of concrete roads, with a total value of over 1.2 billion VND; built street lighting throughout the hamlet, 100% of village roads and alleys have streetlights, with a total cost of 110 million VND.

The veterans here also contributed 200 man-days of labor along with materials and cash to support Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, a poor single mother in the village, in building a sturdy house with a total cost of over 26 million VND… These actions of the veterans in Village 9, Quynh Vinh Commune, contribute to spreading love and building national unity to overcome difficulties and achieve sustainable development.
For veteran Le Xuan Lam, head of the Veterans Association branch in Hamlet 3B, Quynh Loc commune (Hoang Mai town), and a Catholic, he has successfully carried out all assigned tasks as Chairman of the Pastoral Council of Di Le Parish. Over the years, he and seven other veterans in the branch have collaborated with various organizations and associations to mobilize both Catholic and non-Catholic residents to work together in building new rural areas and promoting household economic development.
During that process, Mr. Lam's family voluntarily donated 121 square meters of land.2land was donated to expand the village's roads. Following his example, many other households in the village also voluntarily moved their fences and donated land to expand the rural roads, making them straight and beautiful. In addition, with the cement provided by the government, Mr. Lam and other organizations actively mobilized local people to contribute to pouring concrete for more than 1.2 km of village roads…

Create a widespread impact
Returning to civilian life after their military service, veterans in all localities have played an active role in all activities and movements, contributing to building national unity, building clean and strong Party and government organizations, and building a strong and comprehensive Veterans Association.
In particular, implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo "On promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style," veterans at all levels actively cultivate their ethics and lifestyle, upholding the spirit of responsibility of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in all tasks and movements in the locality. According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Minh - Chairman of the Veterans Association of Hoang Mai town, studying and emulating Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style has become a daily routine for each veteran.

Through their specific actions in daily life, each veteran consistently "upholds a sense of responsibility, exemplary conduct, and practices what they preach." This includes setting an example in economic development.role models in lifeEach veteran regularly encourages their family and the people to effectively implement the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and local regulations; and works with organizations and associations to build a strong national unity and a robust political system.
InHoang Mai town4,712 war veterans, active in 103 branches under 14 grassroots associations, are always imbued with the ethics and style of President Ho Chi Minh. Each branch uses the results of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, ethics, and style as a standard for evaluating and classifying grassroots associations, branches, and cadres and members every six months and the whole year.
To further multiply the achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, the Veterans' Associations at all levels in localities regularly inspect, supervise, correct, summarize experiences, and replicate exemplary models, collectives, and individuals, as well as good practices and good deeds in the community. Each Veterans' Association organization is always conscious of promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in daily life, coordinating closely with organizations and associations to create a great ripple effect in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style.

In particular, the Veterans Association, in coordination with the Youth Union at all levels, organizes exchange and dialogue activities, extracurricular activities, and launches patriotic emulation movements among union members, young people, and students, linked with educating the younger generation about ideals, ethics, lifestyle, and revolutionary traditions.
From there, we will continue to propagate Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, making a practical contribution to improving the quality of moral education, shaping the character of students, union members, and young people, and instilling revolutionary ethics in the younger generation so that they can strive to build their careers and contribute to their homeland and country.
