(Baonghean.vn) - Many meaningful youth models and projects have been implemented by the youth of Nghe An province during Youth Month. These projects contribute to beautifying the living environment and spreading positive values, demonstrating the sharing spirit of young people with the community.

Following in the footsteps of Mr. Thai Doan Quynh, Secretary of the Anh Son District Youth Union, we had the opportunity to see firsthand the green, clean, and beautiful roads, lined with solemn, evenly spaced poles, fluttering with flags bearing the hammer and sickle and the red flag with a yellow star. This scene evoked a mix of emotion and pride in anyone who passed by.
Mr. Quynh shared that in just three weeks, 14 "Youth Flag Road - Lighting Up Rural Roads" projects were completed in 13 communes and towns of the district, in time to celebrate the 91st anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Youth Union Congresses at all levels, leading up to the Nghe An Provincial Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for the 2022-2027 term.
“Right from the beginning of the year when implementing the work plan, the District Youth Union registered with the District Party Committee's Standing Committee the model of ‘effective mass mobilization’ in 2022, which is to deploy youth flags along roads, and actively directed affiliated grassroots Youth Union organizations to resolutely participate, based on the practical conditions in the locality, to implement the plan correctly,” said Mr. Quynh.

Youth Union branches in the communes have proactively developed plans, consulted with and sought opinions from local Party committees and authorities, and conducted fundraising campaigns from officials, union members, young people, the general public, and expatriates, as well as appealing for social contributions from businesses and philanthropists… to secure funding for the projects.
The youth force directly installed the flagpole and power line systems, saving labor costs while demonstrating their initiative and collective efforts in building new rural areas, leaving a positive image in the minds of the people.
The impact of this model is extremely strong, with many exemplary projects becoming "models" for other units to learn from and replicate, such as: the "Youth Flag Road - Lighting up rural roads with solar energy" project in Binh Son commune, over 500 meters long and costing 40 million VND; and the youth flag road projects in Phuc Son and Thach Son communes, each 1 km long and costing 30 million VND…
The Party committees, authorities, and people of the communes and towns in Anh Son district all expressed their recognition, support, and high appreciation for the meaningful youth projects, which not only beautify rural roads and foster love for the homeland and country, but also illuminate the roads, creating convenience and peace of mind for people in their daily production and life…

Besides the youth-led projects of flagpoles and power lines, many other projects in various localities demonstrate the creativity and dedication of young people to building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, such as "Flowering Electrical Cabinet" (Vinh City), "Youth-led Tree Planting Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" (Dien Chau), "Mural Road" (Thanh Chuong), "Youth-led Cameras Ensuring Security and Order" (Tan Ky)...

For youth union members and young people in the Business Sector of Nghe An province, Youth Month includes many community-oriented activities, working together to ensure social welfare through concrete actions.
Notably, the "Bag of Love" initiative, launched by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union of Enterprises, aims to support disadvantaged individuals in localities and businesses, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, mutual assistance, sharing love, and contributing to the efforts of people and young workers facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Tuan Anh, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Business Sector in Nghe An province, in the past period, 200 bags of medicine with a total value of 50 million VND have been donated to young doctors and nurses and young workers who are treating Covid-19 at home.
"Each 'bag of loving medicine' has been prepared with careful consultation from professional teams at hospitals, including basic medications to support Covid-19 treatment such as fever reducers, cough medicine, mouthwash, hand sanitizer, and medications to boost the patient's immune system," Comrade Tuan Anh said.

In addition, the Youth Union of the Business Sector also coordinated with the Nghi Loc District Youth Union to implement the "Community Activity Center" project in Nghi Trung commune, deploying items such as games, exercise equipment, flowerbeds and ornamental plants, and murals with a total cost of approximately 100 million VND, creating an environment for sports and physical activities, and providing an ideal and healthy recreational space for local youth.
Furthermore, by mobilizing resources from the Youth Union organizations within the enterprise, the Block Youth Union will soon coordinate with the Youth Union of Bac Nghe An Irrigation Company Limited to help and support the renovation of a house for a young worker in difficult circumstances, demonstrating the spirit of mutual support and compassion.
"Wherever youth are needed, youth will be there; whatever is difficult, youth will overcome it" is the message affirmed by the formation of youth projects across Nghe An province in recent days. The active participation of Youth Union branches at all levels, from the province to the grassroots, has helped many important targets set for Youth Month 2022 to be achieved and exceeded.

Comrade Le Van Luong, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, stated: “To date, after three weeks of implementing the activities of Youth Month, 20 out of 35 district-level Youth Union units have implemented at least one youth project. The entire province has planted 54,000 new trees out of the target of 50,000 (achieving 108%), mobilized resources to build 5 charitable houses, and established 29 recreational areas for children and teenagers, exceeding the set plan… These are the most vivid figures that demonstrate the efforts of the province's youth to “reach the finish line” in the context of adapting to the new situation and achieving the dual goals as they are now. Each project leaves its mark on the youth, burning with a desire to contribute, always full of fresh ideas, and working together to make the homeland increasingly prosperous and beautiful.”
