Imprints from patriotic emulation movements in Nghe An province
In the period of 2020 - 2025, patriotic emulation movements of Nghe An province were widely launched in all fields, thereby arousing the potential, creativity and spirit of solidarity and innovation of the entire Party and people, contributing to the successful implementation of the tasks of socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security and improving people's lives.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, patriotic emulation movements of Nghe An province were widely launched in all fields, thereby arousing the potential, creativity and spirit of solidarity and innovation of the entire Party and people, contributing to the successful implementation of the tasks of socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security and improving people's lives.
TIn terms of economy, Nghe An achieved an average GRDP growth rate of 8.3-8.5%/year, GRDP scale increased 1.7 times, GRDP per capita increased 1.67 times compared to 2020. The economic structure shifted positively with the proportion of industry - construction and services accounting for 79.4%, agriculture decreased to about 20.6%. State budget revenue increased nearly 1.5 times.

TInvestment attraction has made great strides, increasing sharply in both scale, quantity and quality of projects, in which FDI attraction is a prominent highlight. In 3 years (2022-2024), Nghe An is in the group of 10 localities attracting the largest FDI in the country, with total registered capital reaching over 4.8 billion USD, 3.6 times higher than the accumulated capital from 2020 and earlier; up to now, there are 150 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 5.86 billion USD still in effect from investors from 14 countries and territories.

CMovements such as "500 days and nights of competition to complete 3,000 km of highways", "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift and combating waste" or "Doing all the work, not just working until the end of the day" have promoted project progress, improved discipline and management efficiency in agencies and units.

TIn the field of agriculture and new rural construction, the movement "Nghe An joins hands to build new rural areas" has become an important highlight. By 2025, the whole province will have 275/362 communes meeting new rural standards (accounting for 75.96%), 102 communes meeting advanced standards, 16 communes meeting model standards, 10 district-level units completing tasks or meeting new rural standards. In addition, there are 223 standard villages and hamlets and 728 products recognized as OCOP.

PThe movement "Nghe An joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind" has been vigorously implemented, demonstrating the spirit of humanity, fostering the tradition of "The whole leaves cover the torn leaves", "When drinking water, remember the source" of the homeland. During the term, the province mobilized more than 3,000 billion VND from socialized sources to support poor households, contributing to reducing the multidimensional poverty rate to 3.12% by the end of 2025. The program "Tet for the poor" mobilized more than 100 billion VND each year, giving gifts to tens of thousands of disadvantaged households, becoming an annual activity with widespread influence.

NNghe An is the leading locality in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households. Cumulative results from the beginning of the program (February 2023) to July 31, 2025, the whole province has had 130/130 communes and wards completing the construction and repair of houses for poor households, near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances in the area: 20,802 houses (14,381 newly built houses, 6,421 houses repaired).

TIn education, Nghe An continues to maintain its top position in the country in terms of excellent student achievements. In the 2020-2025 period, Nghe An students won 8 gold medals, 10 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals at regional and international competitions. The results of the 2025 high school graduation exam ranked first in the country for the first time.

LIVEIn the medical field, the quality of medical examination and treatment has been significantly improved. Many specialized techniques and advanced medical technologies have been deployed in hospitals in the province. Hospitals maintain the movements "Doctors like kind mothers", "Good examples of medical ethics", "Bowls of love porridge" to contribute to improving the spirit of serving the people and strengthening the trust of patients. Integrating the emulation movement with the goal of improving the quality of medical services has created a synchronous change, from infrastructure to medical staff, towards patient satisfaction.

CThe work of labor and employment has been focused on leadership, direction and achieved positive results through the effective implementation of the Project on employment for workers in the province for the period 2021-2025. On average, over 45,000 new jobs have been created for over 5 years, exceeding the Resolution's target by 8.5%, an increase of 20.47% compared to the previous term. The unemployment rate in urban areas is estimated to be 2.11% by 2025, an average decrease of 0.36% per year.

PThe patriotic emulation movement also achieved outstanding results in the field of national defense and security. The defense zone drills and live-fire drills mobilizing more than 2,500 people have improved the coordination capacity between forces, ensuring political security, social order and safety, and absolute safety for major events. The movement "Border communes clean of drugs" has been widely deployed, in which the border guard force promoted "All people participate in protecting sovereignty and border security", effectively fighting cross-border crimes, and destroying many large drug trafficking lines.

TIn science, technology and digital transformation, in 2025 Nghe An will deploy the movement "Innovation and digital transformation" and "Digital education for the masses".

HThe activities of socio-political organizations play an important role in the patriotic emulation movement. The Fatherland Front, Women's Union, Labor Federation, Farmers' Association, and Veterans' Association maintain many practical movements such as "Women help each other develop the economy", "Exemplary veterans", "Good workers, creative workers"... Thereby mobilizing large social resources, consolidating the great national solidarity bloc.

NMany models of “Smart Mass Mobilization” in remote areas have been replicated, contributing to reducing social evils, stabilizing religious security and building a civilized life. The Veterans Associations of the districts have donated hundreds of thousands of square meters of land, contributing millions of working days to build roads, canals and public works. The Women's Association launched the programs “Family of 5 no 3 clean” and “Women help each other develop the economy” associated with preferential credit, helping tens of thousands of households borrow to develop production and escape poverty sustainably.

PThe patriotic emulation movement is also associated with Party building and the political system. The movements "Good advice, good direction", "Skillful mass mobilization", "Nghe An follows Uncle Ho's instructions" have innovated political and ideological work, improved the quality of Party cell activities, and prevented degradation. The two collectives of the Provincial Police and the Provincial Armed Forces were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the President.

TBased on the local characteristics, Nghe An has selected appropriate content and implementation methods, making studying and following Uncle Ho a widespread movement, spreading into daily practice in the political system and the lives of the people of all ethnic groups in the area. Notable examples include: 136 bright spots implementing grassroots democracy regulations, 135 bright spots of government mass mobilization, more than 180 administrative reform models at the commune-level police, maintaining 3,973 "skillful mass mobilization" models, building and recognizing 4,460 new models in various fields throughout the province.

GThanks to the results of patriotic emulation movements, in the past 5 years, many collectives and individuals have strived and competed to achieve many outstanding achievements, and have been commended at all levels. A number of individuals and enterprises have been awarded the title of Labor Hero in the Renewal Period, Second and Third Class Labor Medals, and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister. These are clear evidences of the connection between the patriotic emulation movement and the improvement of the effectiveness of state management and the consolidation of the political system. Many individuals in remote areas and ethnic minorities have risen up to develop their economies well, contributing to the community, becoming typical advanced models.
