During the period 2020-2025, patriotic emulation movements in Nghe An province were launched widely across all fields, thereby unleashing the potential, creativity, and spirit of unity and innovation of the entire Party and people, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks, strengthening national defense and security, and improving people's lives.

During the period 2020-2025, patriotic emulation movements in Nghe An province were launched widely across all fields, thereby unleashing the potential, creativity, and spirit of unity and innovation of the entire Party and people, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks, strengthening national defense and security, and improving people's lives.
TEconomically, Nghe An achieved an average GRDP growth rate of 8.3-8.5% per year, with GRDP increasing 1.7 times and GRDP per capita increasing 1.67 times compared to 2020. The economic structure shifted positively, with industry, construction, and services accounting for 79.4%, while agriculture decreased to approximately 20.6%. State budget revenue increased nearly 1.5 times.

TInvestment attraction has made remarkable progress, with a strong increase in scale, number, and quality of projects, with FDI attraction being a prominent highlight. In the three years from 2022 to 2024, Nghe An was among the top 10 localities attracting the largest FDI in the country, with a total registered capital of over US$4.8 billion, 3.6 times the cumulative capital from 2020 onwards; to date, there are 150 active FDI projects with a total registered capital of over US$5.86 billion from investors from 14 countries and territories.

CMovements such as "500 days and nights of emulation to complete 3,000 km of expressways," "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift and combating waste," or "Completing the job, not just working until the end of the hour" have accelerated project progress, improved discipline, and enhanced management efficiency in agencies and units.

TIn the field of agriculture and rural development, the "Nghe An joins forces to build new rural areas" movement has become a significant highlight. By 2025, the entire province will have 275 out of 362 communes meeting the new rural standards (accounting for 75.96%), 102 communes meeting advanced standards, 16 communes meeting model standards, and 10 district-level units completing or achieving new rural standards. In addition, 223 villages and hamlets will meet the standards and 728 products will be recognized as OCOP (One Commune One Product).

PThe movement "Nghe An joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind" has been implemented vigorously, demonstrating a humanitarian spirit and fostering the traditions of "mutual support" and "remembering the source of one's blessings" of the homeland. During the term, the province mobilized more than 3,000 billion VND from social contributions to support poor households, contributing to reducing the multidimensional poverty rate to 3.12% by the end of 2025. The "Tet for the Poor" program mobilized more than 100 billion VND each year, giving gifts to tens of thousands of disadvantaged households, becoming an annual activity with widespread impact.

NNghe An province is a leading locality in implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households. Cumulative results from the beginning of the program (February 2023) to July 31, 2025 show that all 130 communes and wards in the province have completed the commencement of construction and repair of houses for poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households: 20,802 houses (14,381 new houses, 6,421 houses repaired).

TIn education, Nghe An continues to maintain its top position nationwide in terms of student achievements. During the 2020-2025 period, Nghe An students won 8 gold medals, 10 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals at regional and international competitions. For the first time, the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam ranked first nationwide.

LIVEIn the healthcare sector, the quality of medical examination and treatment has improved significantly. Many advanced techniques and medical technologies have been implemented in hospitals throughout the province. Hospitals maintain movements such as "Doctors as kind mothers," "Shining examples of medical ethics," and "Bowls of compassionate porridge," contributing to enhancing the spirit of serving the people and strengthening patients' trust. Integrating emulation movements with the goal of improving the quality of medical services has created a synchronized transformation, from infrastructure to the medical staff, towards patient satisfaction.

CLabor and employment issues have received attention and guidance from the leadership, achieving positive results through the effective implementation of the Project on Job Creation for Workers in the province for the period 2021-2025. On average, over 45,000 new jobs have been created annually over the five years, exceeding the Resolution's target by 8.5% and increasing by 20.47% compared to the previous term. The unemployment rate in urban areas is estimated to reach 2.11% by 2025, a decrease of an average of 0.36% per year.

PThe patriotic emulation movement also achieved outstanding results in the field of national defense and security. Regional defense exercises and live-fire drills involving over 2,500 people enhanced coordination among forces, ensuring political security, social order and safety, and absolute security for major events. The "Drug-Free Border Commune" movement was widely implemented, with border guards promoting "All citizens participate in protecting sovereignty and border security," effectively combating cross-border crime and dismantling many large drug trafficking rings.

TIn the field of science, technology, and digital transformation, Nghe An province will launch the "Innovation and Digital Transformation" movement along with the "Digital Literacy Movement" in 2025.

HThe activities of socio-political organizations play a crucial role in the patriotic emulation movement. The Fatherland Front, the Women's Union, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Farmers' Association, and the Veterans' Association maintain many practical movements such as "Women helping each other develop the economy," "Exemplary veterans," and "Skilled and creative workers"... Through these, they mobilize significant social resources and strengthen the great national unity.

NMany successful "People's Mobilization" models in remote areas have been replicated, contributing to reducing social evils, stabilizing religious security, and building a civilized life. Veterans' associations in various districts have donated hundreds of thousands of square meters of land and contributed millions of man-days to build roads, irrigation canals, and other public works. Women's associations have launched programs such as "Families with 5 No's and 3 Cleanliness Standards" and "Women Helping Each Other Develop Economically," linked with preferential credit, helping tens of thousands of households borrow to develop production and escape poverty sustainably.

PThe patriotic emulation movement is also linked to building the Party and the political system. Movements such as "Excellent Planning, Good Leadership," "Skilled Mass Mobilization," and "Nghe An Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" have reformed political and ideological work, improved the quality of Party branch activities, and prevented moral decay. The Provincial Police and the Provincial Armed Forces were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the President of Vietnam.

TBased on local characteristics, Nghe An province has selected appropriate content and methods for implementation, turning the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings into a widespread movement, spreading into daily practice within the political system and the lives of people of all ethnic groups in the province. Notable examples include: 136 exemplary models of implementing grassroots democracy regulations, 135 exemplary models of government-led mass mobilization, over 180 administrative reform models at the commune-level police, maintaining 3,973 "skillful mass mobilization" models, and building and recognizing 4,460 new models in various fields throughout the province.

GRecognizing the results of patriotic emulation movements over the past five years, many collectives and individuals have strived and competed to achieve outstanding achievements, receiving commendations from various levels. Several individuals and businesses have been awarded the title of Hero of Labor in the Renovation Period, the Second and Third Class Labor Orders, and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister. These are clear proofs of the close connection between patriotic emulation movements and the improvement of state management effectiveness and the strengthening of the political system. Many individuals in remote areas and ethnic minority communities have risen to become successful economic entrepreneurs, contributing to their communities and becoming exemplary role models.
