Notable new features of the 2026 Lotus Village Festival

A key highlight of the 2026 Lotus Village Festival is the announcement of the Decision designating it as a National Tourist Area.Kim Lien Historical SiteThis is a significant milestone for the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh, and it also sets new demands in preserving, restoring, improving service quality, and developing experiential products of a worthy standard.

Along with the flower and incense offerings at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House in the Kim Lien Historical Site and Chung Son Temple; the procession of President Ho Chi Minh's portrait from the Memorial House to the Lang Sen Stadium, the opening ceremony commemorating the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth is also a highlight of the festival. In particular, following the opening art performance, there will be a 15-minute high-altitude fireworks display, creating a solemn and dazzling atmosphere for the May festival in President Ho Chi Minh's hometown.

Beyond maintaining the solemnity of the ceremonial aspects, this year's Lotus Village Festival also focuses on expanding experiential activities. Notably, the "Lighting Up Lotus Village" night tourism program includes the "Mo Te Show - Stories of Lotus Village" tour. Because it is funded through social contributions, the Kim Lien Historical Site is coordinating with investors to finalize preparations, aiming to launch the tour during the festival and develop a plan for its continued operation afterward.

In addition, there is a "Countryside Market" space combining experiential activities; displaying and introducing OCOP products, cuisine, lotus-based products, and traditional craft products; a parade and performance of lotus-themed ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress); and cultural, artistic, sports, and folk games associated with President Ho Chi Minh's childhood. The exhibition "80 Years Since President Ho Chi Minh's Call for National Resistance" and the thematic exhibition "The System of Museums and Memorial Sites of President Ho Chi Minh Nationwide" also contribute to deepening the traditional educational significance of the festival.

Communication efforts continue to be refreshed with a unique brand identity, disseminating information through newspapers, television, online platforms, and digital channels; at the same time, several KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) are invited to participate in creating content and promoting tourism in President Ho Chi Minh's hometown.
