The Phu Dam well (Sen 3 hamlet), restored in 2013, is considered the largest in the system of village wells in Kim Lien commune. Sen 3 hamlet is also home to the ancestral temple of the Nguyen Sinh Kim Lien family, therefore, the restoration of the ancient well adds to the cultural heritage value of the area. |

| The Phuong Doai well (Mau 1 village) was restored and completed in 2014. The 200 million VND for the restoration was contributed by villagers and those living away from home. The village well, both in the past and present, serves as a gathering place for villagers, strengthening community bonds. |

| Mr. Nguyen Quang Do (90 years old) - the oldest person in Mau 1 village, said: "The Phuong Doai well is hundreds of years old, because from my grandfather's and father's generations, stories related to this village well have been told. The water in the old village well was crystal clear, and especially, no matter how dry the weather was, the water level in the well always remained stable. The water from the Phuong Doai well is used to make delicious soy sauce, famous throughout the region." |

| When restoring the Phuong Doai well, the people of Mau 1 village still cherished and preserved the laterite bricks of the ancient well. Now, the remaining three bricks are arranged around the base of the new Phuong Doai well. |

| The Đình well in Hồng 1 village is the only ancient well in Kim Liên commune that has retained almost its original appearance and characteristics as an old village well. Despite the many changes of history, the cool, clear water from the well remains unchanged. The people of Hồng 1 village still maintain the habit of using the water from this ancient well for drinking and daily life. Especially during the hot, dry summer months, the village well never runs dry. |

| The people of Hong 1 village are very conscious of preserving the village well. They still maintain the traditional method of drawing water directly from the well, without installing pumps or pipes to their homes for fear of damaging the well's interior. |

| For generations, the area around the village well has been a place of daily life for the people of Hong 1 village. As the National Assembly elections approach, the people respectfully hoist the red flag with a yellow star high on the ancient tree beside the village well. |

| Cốc Well is located within the Kim Liên Historical Site. A plaque commemorating Cốc Well in Sen Village reads: “During his time living in Sen Village from 1901 to 1906, young Nguyễn Sinh Cung often came here to fetch water for his family, helping his father boil water for tea… On June 16, 1957, President Ho Chi Minh returned to his hometown for the first time. After leaving the house of the former scholar, reminiscing about the past, he asked the villagers: Is Cốc Well still there? The water from Cốc Well is clear and sweet, famous throughout the region for making delicious green tea and soy sauce!” |
