Healthy "cells"

In commemoration of the DayFamilyOn June 28th, among the exemplary families of workers and employees honored nationwide by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the period 2021-2026, Nghe An province proudly boasts two outstanding representatives: the family of Ms. Tran Thi Tam (TH Milk Joint Stock Company) and the family of Dr. Tran Van Cuong (Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital). These are loving homes where the passion for creativity in work always goes hand in hand with love and responsibility in raising children to become good people.

At TH Milk Joint Stock Company, Ms. Tran Thi Tam is known not only as a skilled food technology engineer but also as a leading innovator. In her role as an improvement specialist, she proactively researches and proposes numerous technical solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs for the company.

The period from 2021 to 2026 marked a significant milestone for her with a series of effective initiatives. These include the initiative to reduce the frequency of peroxide measurements during the filling process of Tetra Pak milk cartons (2023), and the solution for thoroughly filling plant-based milk at Atank 5 and improving the initial cycle of line 14 (2024). These contributions earned her the Creative Labor Award from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2023 and a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

Accompanying her is her husband, Mr. Phan Van Nam, a maintenance supervisor at the same unit. Mr. Nam is also an active participant in the creative labor movement, with many innovative ideas such as replacing the CIP mixing ball and designing a nut milk production line, which have been recognized by the company.

Their harmonious work lives form the foundation for building a prosperous, progressive, and happy family. Despite their busy schedules, they always dedicate time to caring for and providing a comprehensive education for their children. Their eldest daughter, Phan Thi Bao An, has consistently achieved top honors in Mathematics at the former district level for many years. Their second daughter, Phan Tran Ha Phuong, also won awards for excellence in Literature at the former district level. For many years, Ms. Tam's family has consistently held the title of Exemplary Cultural and Sports Family in the locality.

While Ms. Tâm's family shines with industrial innovations, the family of Dr. Trần Văn Cương, Deputy Director of Nghệ An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, is a symbol of dedication to the medical field and a spirit of lifelong learning.

Dr. Cuong is a leading expert with numerous valuable provincial and institutional-level scientific research projects, particularly in the field of pediatric resuscitation. For his tireless contributions, he was awarded the title of "Outstanding Physician" (2020), received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, and a Creative Labor Award from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (2022).

Dr. Cuong's wife, Dr. Chu Thi Kim Anh, is also a dedicated healthcare worker who has received the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier" at the grassroots level for many years. She also had the honor of receiving the Creative Labor Award from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2024 and numerous commendations from the Provincial People's Committee.

In the home of this doctor couple, knowledge and kindness are the greatest "legacies" they pass on to their children. Their eldest son, Tran Quang Huy, graduated with honors from Hanoi University of Science and Technology; their daughter, Tran Ha Phuong, was a top student in Chemistry at the provincial level, graduated from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, and is currently excelling academically at the National Economics University.

Sharing his secret to maintaining a happy marriage, Dr. Cuong said that he always sets a good example, proactively sharing household chores and raising children with his wife. This understanding and sharing has transformed the family into a solid foundation, allowing its members to focus on their work and contribute to the healthcare of the people.

Two families, two different fields of work, yet they share one common point: using creative work as a springboard for their careers and using understanding as the key to happiness.

The widespread impact of the movement

In Nghe An, the movement to build exemplary worker-employee families has been maintained and promoted for many years. Beyond just statistics, the movement has truly become a catalyst, transforming each family into a healthy "cell" that actively contributes to the development of the homeland.

A prime example is the family of Mr. Ho Sy Cau (Ho Hoan Cau Co., Ltd.). As Deputy Director, Mr. Cau is the author of numerous internationally recognized scientific and technological innovations, winning Gold and Bronze medals at the SIIF 2025 International Invention Exhibition in South Korea. Behind his success is his wife, Ms. Le Thi Tam, who consistently excels at her job and, together with her husband, raises their two children to achieve high rankings in various competitions. His family is a model of the combination of industrial knowledge and modern family education.

In the agricultural and forestry sector, the families of Mr. Dang Van Tinh (Quy Hop Forestry Farm) and Mr. Pham Ngoc Nam (Tay Hieu 1 Farm) are exemplary models of diligence and perseverance. Despite working in a unique environment, Mr. Tinh still achieved the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier at the grassroots level" in 2025 and received a Certificate of Commendation from the Provincial Labor Federation for his achievements in negotiating collective labor agreements. His wife, Ms. Pham Thi Mui, is also a Party member who has excellently fulfilled her duties in the health sector. Their silent contributions have helped maintain the greenery of their homeland.

The movement in Nghe An also recognizes exemplary families closely linked to the responsibility of protecting the Fatherland. In the family of Ms. Cao Thi Quynh (Hoang Mai Medical Center), while Mr. Tran Van Toan (an electrical engineer at the DK1 offshore platform) frequently has to work far from home in remote, dangerous areas, Ms. Quynh single-handedly manages the roles of Deputy Head of the Planning and Finance Department, leads scientific research projects, and raises two sons, one of whom is currently studying at the Academy of Traditional Medicine.

From an ethical standpoint, the family of Dr. Ho Khac Thuy (Quynh Luu General Hospital) impressed with their sense of responsibility to the community. Both doctors were unexpectedly commended by the Nghe An Department of Health for their timely rescue of a victim of cardiac arrest due to electric shock, spreading a positive image of medical ethics among the people…

Besides the efforts of each individual, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Union plays a key role in organizing, launching, and realizing emulation movements such as "Excellent Workers, Creative Workers" and "Good at National Affairs, Good at Family Affairs". Ms. Phan Thi Trang - Vice President of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Union shared: "This year on June 28th, the Nghe An Labor Union will honor 28 outstanding workers."familyOutstanding workers' families in the period 2021-2026. Honoring these families on June 28th each year has created a new "breath of fresh air," helping workers see the value of the connection between personal success and family happiness.
