The most effective way to soak deer antler velvet in alcohol: Use ginger wine to clean fresh deer antlers, but absolutely do not clean the cut areas. Let the antlers dry completely, then slice them thinly and place them in a glass jar. Next, pour in enough 35-40% alcohol to completely cover them. Soak for about 3 months. After that, pour the wine into another jar and soak again for a second time, then a third time, each time for about 4 weeks. After you have 3 jars of wine from 3 soakings, combine all 3 batches of wine into one jar, then add more 35-40% alcohol at a ratio of 1 part antlers to 8-9 parts alcohol. |
