According to Associate Professor Dr. Tran Dinh Thien, adjusting the Nghe An Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, is not simply about updating indicators or adjusting the scale of development, but most importantly, it is about creating a completely new approach to development thinking.
The planning document has met the requirements of the new phase by closely adhering to national development strategies, while clearly establishing the role and mission of Nghe An in the regional and national development network. While previous plans primarily focused on economic growth, this revision aims to build a growth model based on science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, enhancing productivity, quality, and competitiveness. The plan also opens up new development opportunities with a synchronized infrastructure system, from transportation and logistics to digital and data infrastructure, creating conditions for the formation of new growth poles in coastal areas, economic zones, central urban areas, border cities, and the western region connected to the East-West economic corridor.
According to Associate Professor Tran Dinh Thien, this is not only a foundation for Nghe An to leverage its position and become a driving force for development in the North Central region, but also a strong message to domestic and foreign investors that Nghe An has fully prepared its vision, space, and infrastructure to accompany large-scale, high-quality projects in the new development phase.

According to Mr. Teng Wei Hong, General Director of VSIP Nghe An Co., Ltd., the conference announcing the adjustment of the Nghe An Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, and promoting investment in 2026 is an important milestone, opening up new development space and creating a foundation for Nghe An to rise to become a growth pole of the North Central region.
Businesses highly appreciate the province's efforts in improving the investment environment, reforming administrative procedures, and developing a comprehensive transportation and logistics infrastructure. After more than 10 years of investment in Nghe An, VSIP has developed 3 industrial parks and 1 urban-service area, along with secondary businesses, attracting over US$3.2 billion in FDI into the Southeast Economic Zone. The VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park in Hung Nguyen alone has achieved a 95% occupancy rate, creating jobs for approximately 40,000 workers, 20 times more than before the Covid-19 pandemic. According to him, these results demonstrate the increasing attractiveness of Nghe An to international investors.
In the coming period, VSIP will continue to work alongside the province to develop new-generation industrial parks in a green, smart, and high-tech direction; and at the same time promote investment in Industrial Park No. 9, contributing to attracting high-quality FDI and realizing the sustainable development goals of Nghe An.

According to Mr. Dispong Pornchanoknart, Country Director of WHA Group in Vietnam, the Conference announcing the adjustment of Nghe An Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, is an important milestone, affirming the strategic vision and determination for development of the province, and at the same time creating more confidence for the international business community.
WHA chose to invest in Nghe An nearly 10 years ago, believing in the province's strategic location, abundant human resources, and long-term development potential. To date, the WHA Industrial Park, spanning approximately 500 hectares, has achieved over 60% occupancy, attracting numerous large corporations in the electronics supply chain with over $1.5 billion in registered capital and creating approximately 50,000 jobs. Building on this success, WHA is developing a second industrial park of approximately 250 hectares, aiming to develop around 2,000 hectares of industrial parks in Nghe An in the future.
Mr. Dispong Pornchanoknart affirmed that choosing Nghe An was one of WHA's best investment decisions in Vietnam, and the group will continue to accompany the province on its journey to develop high-tech, sustainable, and high-value-added industries.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duy Giang, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation, the Quynh Lap LNG Thermal Power Plant project, with a total investment of nearly 60,000 billion VND and a capacity of 1,500 MW, is currently the largest energy project in Nghe An province and plays a strategic infrastructure role in ensuring national energy security as well as attracting high-tech industries.
When operational, the plant is expected to supply more than 9 billion kWh of electricity per year, generating revenue of approximately $1 billion per year, contributing about 1,800 billion VND to the local budget annually, and creating approximately 2,000 jobs during the construction phase and hundreds more jobs once operational.
Businesses highly appreciate Nghe An's spirit of cooperation and decisive administrative reforms, which help investors accelerate project implementation. PV Power and its partners are committed to mobilizing modern technology and high-quality human resources to complete the project on schedule, while continuing to research and invest in clean energy and renewable energy projects, accompanying Nghe An on its long-term journey towards green and sustainable development.

According to Mr. Tran Van Le, Chairman of Phuong Linh Electromechanical Group, Nghe An is currently blessed with all the necessary conditions for breakthroughs. The new planning has opened up vast development opportunities, infrastructure is becoming increasingly synchronized, and the investment environment is becoming more favorable.
However, the most important resource remains the people of Nghe An, with their intelligence, resilience, and aspiration for progress. What is needed now is to create mechanisms and an environment to awaken the spirit of dedication and unleash the creative potential of the people of Nghe An, thereby generating high added value for the economy while ensuring social welfare.
Mr. Tran Van Le also stated that, in addition to attracting investment capital, Nghe An needs attractive policies to attract high-quality human resources and encourage those who have left their hometowns to return and start businesses, invest, and contribute to the province's development. The investment of 310 billion VND by Phuong Linh Electromechanical Group in a factory producing industrial fans, dust filtration equipment, and industrial electrical equipment in Bac Vinh Industrial Park not only demonstrates confidence in Nghe An's development potential but also a commitment to accompanying the homeland in realizing its aspiration for rapid, sustainable, and prosperous development.
