Người mẹ trẻ nằm trên giường bệnh khóc thương con

Chiều ngày 25/6, sau gần 20 ngày được đưa vào bệnh viện cấp cứu vì gặp tai nạn bất ngờ, chị Nguyễn Thị Hương, sinh năm 1998, ở khối 4, phường Nghi Tân được đưa về nhà. Gặp lại các con sau chuỗi ngày đấu tranh với “tử thần”, chị Hương nước mắt sụt sùi.

Người nhà chị Hương cho biết, suốt những ngày nằm viện, nén những cơn đau, lúc nào Hương cũng nghĩ đến 4 đứa con, rồi lại khóc vì thương chúng còn nhỏ nhưng đã phải chịu nhiều thiệt thòi.

Trước đó, vào ngày 2/6/2022, lúc mặt trời đã đứng bóng, trên đường trở về nhà sau khi bán nốt mớ cá, chị Nguyễn Thị Hương bị chóng mặt, rồi tự lao chiếc xe máy cà tàng vào cột biển báo giao thông bên đường.

Hậu quả chị Hương gãy xương chậu, gãy xương sườn, tràn dịch màng phổi và bị tụ máu não. May mắn được người đi đường phát hiện và đưa đi viện cấp cứu, suốt gần 1 tháng nằm viện, tình trạng tụ máu não và tràn dịch màng phổi có thuyên giảm nên gia đình xin đưa chị về nhà điều trị vì không còn tiền trang trải chi phí chạy chữa, đi lại phục vụ người bệnh.

Vợ chồng chị Nguyễn Thị Hương có 4 người con (3 gái, 1 trai). Hai cháu lớn nhất sinh đôi năm 2015 và cháu trai bé nhất chưa tròn 1 tuổi. Cả hai vợ chồng công việc không ổn định nên cuộc sống thường xuyên túng thiếu, cơ cực, các con của chị chịu nhiều thiệt thòi.

Together with the Association's officialsLHPN phường Nghi Tân đến thăm gia đình, ai cũng bùi ngùi khi nhìn hình ảnh ngôi nhà thấp bé, xơ xác với tường vôi tróc lở. Trong căn nhà mọi vật dụng đều đã cũ kỹ, không có đồ đạc gì có giá trị lớn.

Her husband, Mr. Hoang Anh Duc, sells flowers at Nghi Tan market, but has stopped selling for the past two months due to poor sales. With an unstable income and his wife's accident, the family is gradually becoming impoverished due to a lack of savings for emergencies or illness.

Also in Nghi Tan ward, Cua Lo town, members of the Women's Union of the town and ward regularly pay attention to and are calling on benefactors to extend a helping hand to another unfortunate case, that of Mr. Tran Cong Hoang's household in Block 5.

Mr. Tran Cong Hoang used to work as a hired fisherman on local fishing boats, but for the past three years he hasn't gone to sea due to poor health; no one hires him anymore. Currently, Mr. Hoang stays at home helping with housework and taking care of his grandchildren while his wife goes to the market to sell fish. His wife buys fish daily from boats and fishing vessels near the shore and resells it at the nearby market, earning a few tens of thousands of dong a day to support the family.

Mr. and Mrs. Hoang are currently raising three grandchildren, the oldest in 10th grade this year, and the youngest only 3 years old. Among Mr. Hoang's grandchildren are two siblings, Tran The Trung and Tran Thi Uyen Trang. Uyen Trang is in 10th grade this year, and her younger brother Trung is in 8th grade. Their father passed away nearly 10 years ago, and a year after his death, their mother left and has not been in contact since. Uyen Trang and The Trung live with their grandparents in a cramped, old house.

“Because of poverty, Trung’s older sister, who is in 10th grade this year, has dropped out of school for the past two days to work cleaning and washing dishes for restaurants along the coast. It took a lot of encouragement from her grandparents before she agreed to return to school. As for the third child, also our grandson, since his parents divorced and his mother left years ago without contact, his father often wanders around looking for extra work and frequently drinks alcohol, so the child mainly lives with his grandparents. We worry about providing for his daily meals, but we don’t know how long my wife and I can continue to support the children’s education, because even with careful budgeting from selling fish, my wife only earns enough to cover daily expenses,” Mr. Hoang said worriedly.

Ms. Phung Thi Hanh, President of the Women's Union of Cua Lo town, said that after repeatedly visiting and encouraging Mr. Hoang and his children, the Women's Union officials have donated books, some school supplies, and clothes to the children. At the same time, the Women's Union at all levels is actively calling on and connecting with benefactors to support Mr. Hoang and his wife with additional funds to care for the children and help them continue attending school.
