Toyota Yaris

In the context of hatchback cars gradually losing their appeal in the market, this move has made experts question whether the Toyota Yaris model could be "discontinued" in Vietnam.

Once one of the top choices, however, from the beginning of 2024 until now, there have been months when Toyota Yaris has not sold a single car.

In the first 5 months of 2024, only 8 Yaris cars were delivered to Vietnamese customers. This number makes Yaris always in the list of the "slowest selling" cars in the Vietnamese market.

Many Toyota dealers have now stopped taking orders for the Yaris model.

Toyota Yaris in Vietnam is imported from Thailand. Therefore, this model has a quite high price compared to competitors in the same segment.

Suzuki Ciaz

According to a representative of Suzuki Vietnam, the 2024 Ciaz has been stopped from being imported into the country since last May. According to dealers, slow sales and weak competitiveness are the main reasons why Ciaz has been stopped from being sold in Vietnam.

Suzuki Ciaz started selling in Vietnam since 2016. However, sales of this product in Vietnam are quite modest.

In May 2024, Ciaz sold only 3 units in Vietnam. Since the beginning of 2024, this car line has only sold 8 units to Vietnamese customers.

Suzuki Ciaz is equipped with a 1.4L 4-cylinder petrol engine, combined with a 4-speed automatic transmission, producing a maximum capacity of 91 horsepower and a maximum torque of 130Nm. The average fuel consumption of this model is 5.79 liters/100 km.

Mazda BT-50

The Mazda BT-50 pickup truck was officially launched in the Vietnamese market in 2011. However, after more than a decade, in the first 3 months of 2024, the Mazda BT-50 was continuously on the list of slowest-selling vehicles.

On the Mazda Vietnam homepage at the present time, the Mazda BT-50 no longer appears in the product catalog. Currently, the products on the Mazda Vietnam website are only passenger cars. In the first quarter of 2024, the number of Mazda BT-50 pickup trucks sold on the market was only 5 vehicles.
