Car models with the deepest price reductions in early 2017

In the first 2 months of the year, 7 car brands adjusted their selling prices in the Vietnamese market with many popular car models and discounts of up to hundreds of millions of dong.

Honda Accord: Discount 80 million VND

Honda Accord is a car model that had its price adjusted quite early in the Vietnamese market since the beginning of January after the import tax from the ASEAN region was officially adjusted to decrease further.

In the Vietnamese market, the new selling price of Honda Accord 2.4L will be 1.39 billion VND, a decrease of 80 million VND compared to the previous selling price.

The 2016 version of the D-class sedan was just launched in the Vietnamese market last May with a price of 1.47 billion VND. The car is imported and has many changes in interior and exterior design.

The 2016 Arcord uses a 2.4L i-VTEC engine combined with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Sport shift paddles and cruise control are integrated on the steering wheel.

Kia Sedona: Discount 95 million VND

Up to 31/32 Kia brand car models have started to have their retail prices adjusted down since February. Of which, the biggest discount of the Kia brand belongs to Sedona with a reduction of up to 95 million VND for the 3.3L version, the 2.2L version has a reduction of 43 million VND.

Kia's C-class sedan Cerato has also just had its price adjusted in Vietnam with a fairly deep reduction. According to the new price list, all 4 Cerato versions currently sold in Vietnam have been reduced by 20 - 42 million VND. Specifically, Cerato 1.6 MT has been reduced by 28 million VND, bringing the price of this version down to 584 million VND, Cerato 1.6 AT has the deepest reduction of 42 million VND, from 679 to 637. The 2.0AT and Cerato 5DR 1.6 versions have been reduced by 33 million VND and 20 million VND respectively.

Cerato's price adjustment could help this model regain its appeal compared to competitors in the C-segment, which is facing fierce competition.

Thaco has just launched a double discount campaign for many of its car models. Although it adjusted the retail prices of many car models at the end of February, in March, some Mazda models continued to receive new incentives. Among them is the Mazda3, the best-selling car in the C-class sedan segment.

The Mazda3 1.5L sedan version will have a selling price 25 million VND lower from February and will be reduced by another 10 million VND in March. Thus, the selling price of this version will drop to a minimum of 650 million VND, a price that makes many other competitors wary.

Mazda3 1.5 HB reduced by 25 million VND, from 705 to 680 million VND and Mazda3 2.0 sedan version reduced by 75 million VND (from 829 to 754 million VND in March).

Mazda CX-5: Discount 80 million VND

Just like the Mazda3, the best-selling model in the CUV segment, the CX-5, is also deeply discounted.

If you add up the incentives in March and the discount at the end of February, the Mazda CX-5 2WD 2.0L version is reduced by up to 80 million VND compared to the old price (from 959 to 879 million VND).

The new prices of the two versions CX-5 2WD 2.5L and CX-5 AWD 2.5L are 930 million VND and 990 million VND respectively, a decrease of 60 million VND and 35 million VND respectively compared to the previous selling price.

Mazda6 2017: Discount 21 million VND

Mazda brand has also announced a discount for the new version of Mazda6.

Accordingly, in addition to the large discount for the old version, the new Mazda6 version will be discounted from 10-21 million VND. Of which, the new Mazda6 2.0L Premium has the highest support of 21 million VND with a selling price after discount of 999 million VND (announced price of 1.02 billion VND). The remaining two versions have a corresponding discount of 10 million.

Nissan Sunny XL: Discount 35 million VND

Nissan Vietnam has just announced the new selling price for the Nissan Sunny sedan model. Accordingly, the Nissan Sunny XL sedan will have a new suggested retail price of 463 million VND (including VAT) from February 15.

Thus, compared to the old selling price, the Nissan Sunny XL will officially be reduced by 35 million VND in the Vietnamese market.

Meanwhile, the other two versions, Nissan Sunny XV and Nissan Sunny XV SE, still retain the old retail price of VND 538 million.

Toyota Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser Prado TX-L: Discount of 164 million VND

Toyota Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser Prado TX - are imported models with the biggest discounts in Toyota's latest price adjustment.

According to the new selling price, from February, the selling price of Land Cruiser Prado TX-L in the Vietnamese market is 2.167 billion VND, a decrease of 164 million VND. Meanwhile, Land Cruiser VX has a selling price of 3.65 billion VND, a decrease of 70 million VND compared to before.

Toyota Yaris: Discount 47 million VND

Yaris is a Toyota model imported from the ASEAN region, so it is also on the price adjustment list from February.

Specifically, according to the new price list just updated by Toyota Vietnam, from February, Toyota Yaris G has a selling price of 642 million VND, a decrease of 47 million VND; Toyota Yaris E has a selling price of 592 million VND, a decrease of 44 million VND compared to the previous selling price.

Lexus LX570: Discount 210 million VND

In Vietnam, Lexus has just adjusted the selling prices of most of the car models it distributes.

The most expensive model of the Lexus brand, the LX570, has been reduced by 210 million (from 8.02 billion VND to 7.81 billion VND). The LS460L and GX460 also have a reduction of 140 million VND, when the current selling prices of these two models are 7.54 billion VND and 5.06 billion VND, respectively.

In addition, the Lexus RX350 AWD is priced at 3.81 billion VND, a reduction of 100 million VND. Other models such as the GS350 are reduced by 80 million VND and the ES350 is reduced by 50 million VND.

Peugeot 2008: Discount 70 million VND

French car brand Peugeot with 6 car models currently distributed in Vietnam: 208L, 2008, 408 Deluxe, 3008, 308 Allute and 508 also has its selling price adjusted.

5/6 car models have had their prices adjusted down quite well since February. Specifically, the 2008 has a new selling price of 1.7 billion VND (a reduction of 70 million VND compared to the previous selling price). The two car models 508 and 308 Allute have a price of 60 million VND; the 208 FL has a reduction of 30 million VND. In contrast to other car models, the Peugeot 3008 has increased from 1.17 billion VND to 1.19 billion VND (20 million VND compared to the old price).
