Although he did not play impressively for SLNA, Abbas is a fearsome goalscorer for Thanh Hoa and B.Binh Duong.

In 2014, coach Nguyen Huu Thang asked Abass to return to play for SLNA, but the two sides could not find a common voice at the last minute due to financial reasons. Dickson Nwakame
