Passionate, capable, and creative in their professional work, yet also gentle and compassionate in their daily lives – that's the familiar image of the female police officers of Nghe An province.

Bringing warmth

That's the general feeling among patients at Nghe An Friendship General Hospital every Friday noon, when members of the Nghe An Police Women's Association come to distribute free meals. Their blue uniforms, along with 100 servings of hot meals, and their thoughtful, meticulous, and caring approach, make everyone feel reassured and warm-hearted. This activity has been maintained since July 2025.

Commenting on this enduring collaboration, Ms. Thai Thi My Hanh, Head of the Social Work Team at Nghe An Friendship General Hospital, emotionally shared: "Our hospital has about 3,000 inpatients, many of whom are from impoverished backgrounds in remote areas. The support of the Women's Association of the Provincial Police is invaluable. The women work extremely systematically, punctually, and with a serious demeanor, yet they are incredibly approachable. Not only do they provide hot meals every Friday, but they also enthusiastically participate in the 'Zero-Cost Booth' during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), readily providing emergency assistance to critically ill patients. Most recently, following a call from Nghe An Friendship General Hospital, members of the Nghe An Police Women's Association supported Mr. NVL (born in 1986), an orphan from a poor household, with 10 million VND for hip replacement surgery, helping him overcome a critical condition."

With the spirit of "Closest to the people" and "Leaving no one behind," the worksocial securityFor a long time, this has been a natural beauty, deeply ingrained in the consciousness of every female officer and member of the Women's Association of the Nghe An Provincial Police. In the first nine months of 2026, the Women's Associations of the Nghe An Provincial Police mobilized a total of over 2.5 billion VND in social resources to implement a series of extensive charitable activities. In addition, they donated 500 "Warm Winter" gift packages to people in border areas and supported the construction of 13 houses of compassion worth 1.7 billion VND.

The "Godmother" Program stands out and touches the hearts of many people. Since its launch, all 25 affiliated branches of the Women's Union have sponsored at least one orphaned child in particularly difficult circumstances. To date, the Women's Union of the Provincial Police has directly cared for and provided support to 139-150 orphaned children with a total sponsorship amount exceeding 1.5 billion VND.

Beyond mere statistics, the love of these "Godmothers" in the People's Police uniform is measured by their persistent support over the years. This is the case of Hoang Huu Loc (born in 2016), residing in Dien Chau commune, an orphan who lives with his elderly grandparents in poverty. The Youth Union and Women's Association of the Foreign Security and Economic Security Departments have jointly provided him with 40 million VND over 5 years (2026-2030). Similarly, Pham Thi Tra Giang in Hung Xuan 1 hamlet, Hung Nguyen Nam commune, received warm Mid-Autumn Festival gifts, and the Women's Association of the commune's police also donated a new study desk and chair set worth 1.5 million VND to help her pursue her dream of going to school…

Sharing her feelings about this emotionally charged journey, Captain Le Thi Minh Nguyet, Deputy Head of the Women's Committee of the Provincial Police, confided: "When we took on the role of godmother, we realized we had gained a special family. Participating in trips to remote villages, witnessing firsthand the orphaned children living in dilapidated, impoverished thatched houses, everyone returned with many thoughts. Seeing the innocent eyes of the children light up when they received a new set of furniture or a warm coat for Tet (Lunar New Year), all fatigue disappeared. Being a godmother is not just about giving money, but about giving love, listening, and becoming a spiritual support so that the children do not feel alone on their path to adulthood."

Pioneering digital transformation

Not only making their mark in charitable work, but also in association activities and emulation movements, the Women Police Officers of Nghe An Province demonstrate adaptability and a proactive and creative spirit.digital transformation.

Implementing the "Three Best: Most Disciplined - Most Loyal - Closest to the People" emulation movement launched by the Ministry of Public Security, the Women's Police Force of Nghe An has made a strong mark by becoming the first unit in the country to digitize the entire process of implementing the movement.

Instead of maintaining the traditional, time-consuming, and manual method of handwritten notebooks, the Women's Committee of the Provincial Police Department has proactively developed and launched the "Three Best Diaries" website. On this platform, officers and members from all departments to commune and ward police stations can easily update their work diaries in various formats such as text, images, videos, and audio files anytime, anywhere. This not only reduces the burden of paperwork but also helps each member "self-reflect and self-correct," recording simple daily tasks in serving the people. In particular, outstanding diary entries are pinned to the top of the website weekly for dissemination and sharing, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere throughout the force.

Not stopping at digitizing internal emulation, the Women's Association of the Provincial Public Security Department has also strongly applied digital transformation to social welfare work by pioneering the province in building and launching a digital platform to spread the "Godmother" program.

Accordingly, all data on orphaned children in extremely difficult circumstances in the province has been digitized synchronously, ensuring confidentiality, transparency, and accuracy. The platform not only stores records but also integrates features that allow charitable organizations and individuals to register to sponsor online, and simultaneously monitor the children's growth and education in real time. Thanks to the support of technology, the distance between sponsors and more than 150 orphaned children has been minimized, helping to ensure transparency in all support resources and maintain the sustainability of the program.

Evaluating the pioneering and effective integration of digital transformation with women's association work, Colonel Nguyen Trong Khanh - Member of the Provincial Police Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Head of the Political Affairs Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police - affirmed: "This is the most vivid proof of concretizing the criterion of 'Closest to the people,' portraying the image of female police officers in Nghe An who are both capable, technologically proficient, dedicated, and responsible in serving the people. In the coming time, the Provincial Police Party Committee and leadership will continue to pay attention to leading, directing, and creating conditions for women police officers in Nghe An to develop their intelligence, capabilities, innovative spirit, and pioneering role in all areas of work. In particular, digital transformation will be identified as the driving force for innovating the association's operational methods, using the effectiveness of serving the people and humanistic values as the measure of the quality of the movements. From there, affirming the role, position, and worthy contribution to the cause of protecting national security in the new situation."
