Vietnamese football possesses many talents born in 1997, who made a splash at the 2018 U23 Asian Cup and the 2019 SEA Games.

Bui Tien DungBorn on February 28, 1997, he was the hero of U23 Vietnam in the 2018 U23 Asian Cup finals. He continuously made spectacular saves, including 4 successful penalty saves, greatly contributing to helping coach Park Hang-seo's team win the runner-up position, only losing 1-2 to Uzbekistan in the final match. However, the goalkeeper from Thanh Hoa later failed to maintain his form and lost his position at the national team level. At the 2019 SEA Games, Bui Tien Dung mainly played a reserve role for his junior Van Toan. Currently, he has not played any matches for Ho Chi Minh City Club after the first two rounds of V-League 2021.
