Miura and Huu Thang's favorite players have been forgotten by coach Park.
(Baonghean.vn) – After Coach Park Hang Seo took over the national team, SLNA players are no longer as popular as they were during the time of Coach Nguyen Huu Thang or Coach Toshiya Miura. Let's take a look at the players who are gradually being forgotten in the national team's colors.
Que Ngoc Hai

SLNA's "iron" center-back is considered one of the top defensive players in Vietnam right now. Although SLNA's performance in the V.League was inconsistent at the beginning of the season, the presence of this center-back helped the Nghe An team make a strong comeback in the first half of the season. Last season, Que Ngoc Hai only missed 4 matches, scoring a total of 6 goals in the V.League, 2 goals in the National Cup, and making a significant contribution to their National Cup victory. Since joining the SLNA first team, the center-back born in 1993 has always been especially trusted by coaches Miura and Huu Thang. Therefore, the fact that Ngoc Hai has been overlooked by coach Park Hang Seo is truly puzzling.
Tran Phi Son

In the 2017 season, Phi Son not only deserved to be named the best player of SLNA Club but also deserved to be included in the team of the season. The midfielder, born in 1992, not only scored 7 goals but was also among the top players with the most assists in the V.League 2017. Under coach Huu Thang, Phi Son could not compete for a starting spot with Van Quyet, Minh Tuan, or Dinh Thanh Trung. However, he was highly regarded by coach Miura. Phi Son's absence from the national team caused considerable dissatisfaction among many Vietnamese fans towards coach Park Hang Seo.
Tran Nguyen Manh

Currently, Nguyen Manh remains an outstanding goalkeeper in Vietnamese football. Despite the absence of several key players in SLNA's defense, the captain still demonstrated his class with spectacular saves in the 2017 V.League season. Compared to his counterpart Dang Van Lam, Nguyen Manh is at a disadvantage in terms of height, but all other criteria fully meet the requirements of a national team goalkeeper. After six years playing in the V.League and participating in numerous international matches, Nguyen Manh is certainly not inferior to other goalkeepers.
Pham Manh Hung

The vice-captain of the Vietnam U23 team at the 29th SEA Games suffered an injury at the beginning of the 2017 season, but since the first half of the season, Mạnh Hùng has returned strongly, playing in all 9 matches. In those 9 appearances, SLNA only lost one match, against Hải Phòng. Deployed by coach Đức Thắng at left back, Mạnh Hùng has shown absolute reliability. If he continues to play with this form in the 2018 season, his absence from the national team would be a great waste.
Ngo Hoang Thinh

After coaches Miura and Huu Thang left the national team, Ngo Hoang Thinh almost disappeared from the team's lineup. This was partly due to injury, and partly because the midfielder born in 1992 had to give way to his senior teammate Van Binh at FLC Thanh Hoa and had few opportunities to play in the 2017 V.League. His physically demanding, aggressive style of play is something Huy Hung still lacks compared to the player who came through the SLNA youth academy. In the 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers, Hoang Thinh was only called up as a replacement but was no longer a key player.
Le Van Thang

While the reasons for the National Coaching Council's exclusion of players from Nghe An province from the list of recommended candidates for new coach Park Hang Seo remain unclear, Le Van Thang of FLC Thanh Hoa is also gradually being forgotten. Wearing the Thanh Hoa team's jersey, Van Thang scored 6 goals in 13 appearances. After 8 seasons in the V.League, Van Thang has steadily improved his goal-scoring and attacking abilities. Under coach Huu Thang, the player born in 1990 was a regular starter and left a strong impression on fans.
