Universities Expecting Tuition Increases in 2023
Many universities are expected to increase tuition fees in 2023. Details of tuition fees are updated for parents and students to easily follow.
According to Decree 81/2021/ND-CP of the Government regulating the mechanism for collecting and managing tuition fees for public educational institutions and policies on tuition exemption and reduction, support for learning costs; service prices in the field of education and training, in 2022 - 2023, the tuition fee ceiling for public higher education institutions that have not yet covered their regular expenses ranges from 12 - 24.5 million VND/school year.
However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Government requested to keep the tuition fees for the 2022-2023 school year the same as the previous school year at all levels from kindergarten to university.
In addition, the State will provide compensation for tuition exemption and reduction according to the tuition fee ceiling for the 2021-2022 school year prescribed in Decree 81/2021/ND-CP.
Thus, after two years of no increase according to Government regulations, many universities have planned to increase tuition fees by 10 - 15% next year 2023 - 2024.
InUniversity of Law - Hue University, school year 2023-2024, tuition fee is 14 million VND/year/student; annual increase (if any) does not exceed 20% compared to the tuition fee of the previous year.
InSchool of Tourism - Hue University, expected tuition fees for full-time students; maximum tuition fee increase roadmap for each year (if any): 450,000 VND/credit; tuition fees increase by an average of 10% each year.
InFaculty of Engineering and Technology - Hue University, tuition fee is 385,000 VND/1 credit.
