Her head was swollen, her forehead and face were bruised, and both eyes were bruised and unable to open. Doctors stated that the girl had suffered multiple head injuries.
Earlier, on September 10th, while Trang (Ngân's mother) and Minh (Trang's lover) were in their rented room, Ngân was playing with the gas stove, so Trang started yelling at her. At this time, Minh, who was upstairs, saw this and angrily rushed down, hitting Ngân on the buttocks, face, and head. Not stopping there, Minh then tied Ngân's hands with a rope and continued to yell at her.
About an hour later, Minh untied Ngan and forced her to kneel on the floor of the rented room until around midnight on September 11th. The child recounted to the authorities that two days earlier, when her father returned from work, while she was watching television, he grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the wall, causing bruising around both eyes and a swollen forehead. This cruel father then used two rusty metal rods (20-22cm in diameter and about 1m long) and a broom with a wire-wrapped handle to beat her buttocks.
