Ninh Binh has 27 resettlement areas serving the North-South high-speed railway project.
The province is accelerating the implementation of resettlement projects to facilitate the construction of the North-South high-speed railway line.
The North-South high-speed railway line passing through Ninh Binh province has a total length of approximately 86km, traversing 21 communes and wards, including 12 wards and 9 communes, with 3 main stations and 3 maintenance depots.
The North-South high-speed railway line passes through the following wards: Dong Hoa Lu, Nam Hoa Lu, Trung Son, Yen Thang, Liem Tuyen, Ha Nam, Tien Son, Dong Van, My Loc, Dong A, Thanh Nam, and Truong Thi.
The communes include: Lien Minh, Yen Cuong, Yen Dong, Thanh Binh, Liem Ha, Binh An, Binh Son, Binh My, and Binh Giang.
Three railway stations were built in Phu Ly, Nam Dinh, and Ninh Binh, along with three maintenance depots located in Binh Son commune, Lien Minh commune, and Yen Thang ward.
According to a representative of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, the project will reclaim approximately 612.4 hectares of land, including:
Residential land: 36.47 hectares
Agricultural land: 513.3 hectares
Forest land: 11.15 hectares
Other land: 51.49 hectares
To ensure housing for affected households, the province has planned 27 resettlement sites along the entire route. This is one of the efforts to minimize social impacts and support people in stabilizing their lives after giving up their land for the project.
Ninh Binh province will implement a plan to develop land around train stations using the TOD (Transit-Oriented Development) model.
This model focuses on building modern urban areas that harmoniously integrate public transportation, commerce, services, and housing, in order to optimize the economic and social effectiveness of the railway line.
To optimize the efficiency of the high-speed railway line, Ninh Binh province prioritizes resources for constructing connecting roads between the Eastern North-South Expressway, national highways, and provincial roads with the railway station areas. These infrastructure projects not only serve the railway project but also promote socio-economic development throughout the region.
