The 2026 Tet Homeland program in Ninh Binh promises to be spectacular with a display of 1,000 drones and high-altitude fireworks sponsored by Sun Group on New Year's Eve.
On New Year's Eve, the 29th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Horse (February 16, 2026), Ninh Binh province will host a special art program titled "Homeland Tet - Ninh Binh 2026". The event will take place at Times Square, Ha Nam ward, and will feature a 15-minute high-altitude fireworks display sponsored by Sun Group.
A grand music festival connecting heritage and the future.
The art program, themed "Sounds of Heritage – Aspirations Across Five Continents," begins at 8 PM and is elaborately staged across three chapters. Audiences will experience a musical journey from epic and heroic songs to youthful and modern melodies, aiming to awaken all the senses as they welcome the new year.
Specifically, Chapter 1, "Journey of Heritage – Connecting the Future," focuses on national pride with performances such as "Epic of Vietnamese History" and "Spring in the Homeland." This is followed by Chapter 2, "The Essence of Sacred Land – A Convergence of Colors," which portrays the beauty of the ancient capital's heritage through songs like "Come to Ninh Binh and Listen to the Earth Breathe" and "Ninh Binh, Proud." The final chapter, "Spring in the Nation – Aspiration to Take Flight," brings an explosive atmosphere with modern arrangements such as "Seasonal Transition" and "Vietnam – Proudly Stepping Towards the Future."
A performance by 1,000 drones recreates the history of the heritage site.
Notably, the technological highlight of the evening will be a performance by 1,000 unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). The Ninh Binh sky will be illuminated by vibrant artistic displays, recreating historical figures associated with the culture of this heritage land, such as King Dinh Bo Linh practicing military drills with reed flags, King Le Hoan plowing the fields, or General Tran Hung Dao fighting the Yuan-Mongol army.
The combination of drones, high-powered laser systems, and thousands of LED light sticks from the audience will create a grand light show. In particular, the image of the Year of the Horse mascot along with radiant New Year's greetings in the air will be a highly anticipated moment before New Year's Eve.

The most anticipated event is the 15-minute countdown and high-altitude fireworks display sponsored by Sun Group. Amidst the dazzling fireworks and the timeless melody of "Happy New Year," the transition into the new year will officially begin with renewed energy and anticipation.
Besides Ha Nam ward, the art program "Homeland Tet - Ninh Binh 2026" was also held simultaneously in Hoa Lu and Nam Dinh wards. This activity not only brought joy to the people and tourists but also aimed to celebrate the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
