'Ninja' broke into the commune People's Committee headquarters and stole 50 million VND

On June 17, Phuc Tho District Police (Hanoi) issued a decision to temporarily detain Do Van Hop (born 1963 in Phung Xa, Thach That, Hanoi) to investigate the act of stealing property at a public agency.

Previously, on June 15, the security guard of the People's Committee of Phuc Hoa commune (Phuc Tho district) received a report that taking advantage of the rainy night, thieves had sneaked in to break the locks and break the doors of rooms and offices to steal many properties including laptops and nearly 50 million VND in cash...

Considering the seriousness of the case, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quyet Thang, Chief of Phuc Tho District Police, directly directed the investigation. In less than 24 hours, Do Van Hop was arrested while hiding in Xuan Mai town, Chuong My (Hanoi).

At the police station, Hop confessed that since the beginning of June 2020, he had passed by the headquarters of the People's Committee of Phuc Hoa commune many times and saw that the security was lax and the headquarters of the departments and branches were old, so he had the intention of stealing. The first time, on the evening of June 13, the subject brought a black ninja outfit and 2 iron bars and took a bus to the headquarters of the People's Committee of Phuc Hoa commune to sneak in, but it rained heavily so he gave up the intention of stealing. Hop hid the ninja outfit and 2 iron bars in a banana bush in the headquarters of the People's Committee of Phuc Hoa commune.

At around 7:30 p.m. the next day (June 14), Hop walked to the headquarters of the People's Committee of Phuc Hoa commune and sat in the bushes for more than 2 hours to monitor.

At around 10:35 p.m., seeing that the headquarters was empty, Hop sneaked into the banana bushes, dressed in black ninja clothes, gloves, and brought two iron bars to the back of the office building, broke the locks and bars of the Citizen Reception, Land Administration, One-Stop Office, Cooperatives, etc., and stole a laptop and more than 50 million VND.

After taking the money and property, Hop threw away the ninja outfit, two iron bars with one end sharpened flat to pry open the door, then called a taxi to go home.

Currently, Phuc Tho District Police have seized part of the lost property of Phuc Hoa Commune People's Committee and the crime tools of the suspect Hop.
