Electric vehicle manufacturer NIO officially introduced its "smart scene vehicle control" feature on February 9th. This new technology promises to optimize the user experience by simplifying complex operations when using the luggage compartment.
How the gesture-activated trunk opening feature works.
The most notable feature is its ability to operate without requiring the user to unlock their phone or access the control app. The owner simply needs to stand still at the detection location or gently shake their NIO Phone to activate the automatic opening and closing of the front and rear trunks.

This solution addresses the user-friendliness issue in situations where users are carrying items with both hands, eliminating the traditional software limitations. Currently, scenario-based control has been implemented across all NIO Phone models, applied to the company's two top-of-the-line models, the latest NIO ET9 and ES8.

In addition to launching new features, NIO affirms that it will continue to expand intelligent interaction scenarios in the future. This close integration is based on the powerful hardware platform of the company's own phone line.
