Nissan launches a sporty version.
Nissan has just introduced a sporty version of the Sentra at the end of the current generation's lifecycle, boasting 188 horsepower, befitting the name Sentra SR Turbo.
The Nissan Sentra is known as a C-segment sedan, competing in the same segment as the Toyota Vios, Honda City, and Ford Fiesta, much like its sibling, the Sunny, in the Vietnamese market. However, while many competitors have launched their own sportier versions, the Sentra remains quite modest with its 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing 124 horsepower.

However, things changed when Nissan decided to launch the Sentra SR Turbo, a significantly more powerful sporty version with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 188 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. It also features a CVT transmission like its siblings, but adds a 6-speed manual option for customers who prefer a sportier driving experience. The Turbo version is expected to be available in most other variants, including S, SV, and SL.
In addition, the chassis, steering, braking, and suspension systems have been improved to better adapt to the increased power, ensuring stable and smooth operation. Beyond the powertrain changes, the SR Turbo also boasts design upgrades such as an electrically adjustable sunroof, LED headlights, fog lights, and turn signals, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels and new tires. The interior has also been subtly refined to offer a more sporty and exciting feel.
